Program Summary

The DoD International AIMS Program Office (DoD AIMS PO) is responsible for the testing and evaluation of Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) systems, ensuring interoperability for all DoD, NATO, and coalition partner weapons systems. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Avionics Engineering Division (AFLCMC/EZA) provides avionics systems engineering leadership and technical support to program offices to design, develop, manufacture, integrate, test, and deploy weapon systems. The KBR team provides support to DoD AIMS PO, facilitating the testing and evaluation of all IFF and Mark XIIB systems/subsystems. The KBR team is primarily located at the DoD AIMS PO at Robins Air Force Base (AFB), Georgia.

Job Summary

The incumbent of this position will function as an integral DoD AIMS PO database developer responsible for developing and maintaining a classified address assignment database. The incumbent will work within the development team supporting environments in cloud-native database applications (Azure preferred). As a Database Developer and Web Designer, you will be a critical part of our team responsible for evaluating customer requirements pertaining to complex technical challenges including cloud-native development environments. The incumbent must be able to define, generate, and review project requirements and provide detailed documentation. The candidate must have a strong understanding of cloud-native database applications, to include the management and security of cloud infrastructures. The incumbent must have experience developing cloud-native databases and maintaining basic security and recovery procedures. The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, and fluid environment. Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and processes, a plus, but not required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

KBR requires a Database Developer to support the development of a cloud-native database in a classified DoD environment.

This includes the development and maintenance of a system used for tracking and assignment measures.

Assist the government customer in developing milestone schedules, integrating multiple development stages, performing schedule risk analysis, building projections of schedule outcomes, and developing reports or presentations.

Work within a cross-functional team to integrate development activities into achievable project milestones.

Communicate all findings to management through briefings, written reports and verbal communication.

Perform a range of project management and research activities, such as: gathering program information; conducting analyses; developing strategies; milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling; establishing and maintaining schedule databases.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's and/or Technical Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science System experience. In lieu of the degree four (4) years’ related professional experience is required.

2 years experience in programming Azure-supported languages (i.e. C#, PHP, Bash, Python, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, Java or JavaScript), And possess at least two years of experience working with React.

Possess an IAT Level II certification (i.e. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP), or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment start date.

Experience with database management and architecture, including designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases.

Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra is essential.

Must possess a Secret security clearance or higher.

Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of four years of experience in managing Azure cloud infrastructure (or equivalent) from the Azure portal, PowerShell, or using the Command Line Interface (CLI).
