Industry verticals have unique needs and paths for cloud adoption, and the AWS Industry Marketing team helps HCLS customers transform their businesses using the industry’s broadest and deepest portfolio of cloud services, generative AI and industry solutions.Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a technically-minded, well-written, and results-oriented marketing leader to develop, lead, and execute AWS’s global industry marketing strategy for the Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical. Our objective is to establish AWS as the leading cloud provider for the HCLS industry, and help industry customers make the best decisions for their businesses. This manager role will lead a team of HCLS marketing experts globally, drive collaboration across multiple areas of AWS (sales, business development, product marketing, campaign marketing, field marketing, account-based marketing, partner/alliances, etc.) to develop and execute a holistic marketing plan that meets the needs of our HCLS organization.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop and manage our vertical marketing plans focused on HCLS customers and partners, including defining the industry strategy and execution (3P events, 1P events, digital, content, account-based marketing, partner marketing, and executive engagement).Interlock with leaders from AWS product and engineering teams, product marketing, our local marketing teams across the globe, and sales/business development, and create compelling marketing plans to help customers understand AWS services and value propositions.Ensure delivery of industry-specific, differentiated solutions supported by thought-leadership papers, executive briefs, architectural references, and customer stories.Engage with industry analysts and press to influence market awareness, perception, and understanding of how AWS solutions deliver industry-specific value.Define success metrics, measurement methods, and reporting processes for marketing activities.Work on a rapidly growing business and drive impact alongside a broad set of stakeholders.A day in the lifeThe ideal candidate has a passion for technology services and how they can be used to create business outcomes in the HCLS vertical, the ability to transform complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand messaging and materials, and experience building and improving scalable mechanisms for managing work. A proven track record of excelling in a data-driven marketing organization, people development and leadership, and industry subject-matter expertise are must-haves.Additional ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire a team of industry marketers including Account-Based Marketers, Digital Marketers, Partner Marketers, Executive & Event Marketers.Own the strategy for all HCLS-related marketing initiatives, owning the overall execution to our top AWS HCLS customers.Tell AWS solutions and customer stories with excellence through the HCLS industry lens and ensure they are delivered through industry-specific digital channels, campaigns, analysts, press, events and commercial organization stakeholders.Manage the digital marketing strategy and execution including content updates including websites, blogs, case studies and sales materials.Develop and support keynotes at AWS and industry conferences and trade-shows, positioning AWS as the leading cloud provider for the industry.Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, sales, business development, public relations, analyst relations, and evangelists to shape the product vision, prioritize features, and achieve our joint business goals.Working with our partner community, develop joint solutions, messaging and go-to-market strategy with our top advertising and marketing technology partners.Empower field teams to effectively tell the AWS story for advertising and marketing technology with strong sales collateral and education materials.Ability to travel both domestic and international to meet with customers, external and internal stakeholders.About the teamDiverse Experiences

Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why we strive for flexibility as part of our working culture.Minimum RequirementsA minimum of 15 years B2B marketing experience, with demonstrated experience marketing technology solutions to Healthcare and Life Sciences companies.Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing integrated marketing campaigns, including: idea generation, execution, tracking, measurement, and refinement.Demonstrated experience developing and executing industry specific 1st and 3rd party events with Healthcare and Life Sciences organizations as the primary audience, including in-person and virtual events.Demonstrated experience creating industry and account-specific messaging and content, branding, and customer acquisition and nurture programs.Demonstrated experience in hiring and developing geographically-dispersed teams.Demonstrated experience as a people leader managing direct reports and indirect reporting lines.Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.Proven ability to analyze complex market and account dynamics and develop a marketing strategy.Ability to work independently and autonomously.Adept at presenting to senior executives (internal and external).Willingness to travel up to 40%.Bachelor’s degree.Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, demanding, and ambiguous matrixed environment.Preferred QualificationsMarketing experience working with systems integrators, consultants, and independent software vendors (ISVs), with a focus on HCLS technology solutions.A career trajectory that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results.Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.Account-based marketing experience.Partner marketing experience.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
