We have an open role for a collaborative, strategic-minded, data-driven and people-oriented Executive Director of Enterprise Communications Editorial and Creative who can advance and execute a communications strategy to engage and inform colleagues across our company, leading a team in creating engaging, inspiring and informative content that strengthens our culture and advances our strategy.This role will report to the Associate Vice President, Colleague Communications, and will be responsible for evolving and executing a content and channel strategy to enhance understanding of our strategy among colleagues, help them see how they play a role in our companys success and advance our customer- and colleague-centric culture. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues across Enterprise Communications and the Office of the CEO to ensure colleague-focused content and activities, including company town halls and other events, support our enterprise strategy and empower our colleagues.The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, thoughtful writer, skilled collaborator, caring team leader, relationship builder and constructive influencer, have excellent executive presence and attention to detail, and will be deft at guiding colleagues with competing priorities toward approaches that serve the enterprise.Key responsibilities:Lead a medium-sized team in evolving and executing the content strategy for our existing colleague communications channels, including our intranet, daily newsletter, digital screen network and company town halls.Build strong relationships with senior leaders and communications leaders to collaborate on an approach to colleague communications that serves the enterprise.Use a deep understanding of CVS Health and Enterprise Communications strategy and goals to guide the production of content and deliver events, messages and materials for colleagues that support our strategy and goals.Guide the execution of all enterprise-level communications materials, including intranet stories, videos and multimedia content; a daily newsletter; enterprise-level emails; CEO messages; company town halls; a biweekly leader newsletter; leader-focused events; and digital screen content.Oversee the development and execution of a leader-focused internal communications strategy.Oversee the planning and coordination of select multi-media content, including video filming and editing, and photo shoots, to produce content that can be used on external and internal channels.Partner with the Enterprise Communications digital channels team to strengthen the capabilities of our existing communications channels and explore and onboard new platforms.Using data, feedback, surveys and focus groups and your own experience, determine ways to strengthen our content, cadence and delivery methods, and identify opportunities to create new means for engaging and sharing important information with colleagues.Provide expert counsel and support to communications colleagues who need to develop and distribute campaigns, messages and information to CVS Health colleagues.Partner with the enterprise social team to develop and execute a colleague social strategy, using our internal platforms to drive engagement among colleagues and encourage them to share select content on external social channels.Required Qualifications15+ years professional experience at a large organization, public relations agency or media enterprise.Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate has:Led a medium-sized team (4-12 people), creating a culture of high performance, collaboration, partnership and support.Built relationships across teams and influenced senior- and junior-level colleagues outside of reporting relationships.Led editorial content or communications activities at a large organization, public relations agency or media enterprise.Managed complex events and/or projects with multiple high-level stakeholders who have competing interests and viewpoints.Connected tactical communications activities to a high-level strategy to present a cohesive, engaging narrative to key audiences.Managed complex projects on strict deadlines independently and with limited oversight.Excellent executive presence, and written and verbal communications skills.The ability to effectively deliver in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.EducationBachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$131,500.00 - $297,250.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
