Work Description:
BluePath Labs is seeking a Key Personnel to lead strategic communications and stakeholder engagement efforts in support of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of NIST's AI technical documentation and the promotion of NIST's AI standards, guidelines, and initiatives across various public and private sectors.
Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement:
Lead efforts to raise awareness of NIST's AI programs through targeted communications and stakeholder outreach.
Develop and manage stakeholder engagement strategies to support the broad adoption of the AI Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other NIST AI initiatives.
Coordinate and facilitate communication with executive and technical representatives from both private and public organizations.
Technical Communication:
Prepare, review, and edit technical documents related to NIST's AI standards, including public statements, white papers, website content, emails, speeches, and press releases.
Ensure all communication materials align with NIST's templates, style guides, and messaging.
Collaborate with NIST staff to create documentation that clearly conveys AI risk management and technical guidelines to diverse stakeholders.
Content Development:
Draft and review up to 15 communication materials for stakeholder engagement programs, ensuring clarity and alignment with NIST's AI initiatives.
Provide detailed feedback and edits on up to 25 documents produced by NIST, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to the established guidelines.
Reporting and Contract Management:
Participate in weekly status and progress review meetings.
Provide input for monthly status reports summarizing tasks completed, issues encountered, and overall contract performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Graduate degree in science, engineering, social science, law, or technical communications.
5 years' experience preparing and delivering communication materials to private industry stakeholders.
At least 5 years' experience with communicating C-Suite to stakeholders in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Must have experience with technology policy matters related to trustworthy and responsible artificial intelligence.
Must have experience creating or editing scientific and/or engineering data representations (diagrams, graphs, schematics, etc.).
