Our global expansion and presence in tens of thousands of retail stores are testaments to our commitment to make the hairy globe a little smoother.Stop wasting time not working for us and come join the club!ROLE SUMMARY:We are seeking a highly analytical, data driven marketing director Director, Paid Media that can own the growth of our customer base, including direct to consumer and top of funnel (TOF) brand awareness initiatives. The Director, Paid Media will develop the strategic roadmap and lead a team in the execution across digital media platforms. This role will own the strategic development of day-to-day management and optimization of Paid Social, SEM, Display, Digital Video, Native, Affiliates, and other channels. This role will lead execution of new digital marketing vendors including opportunity evaluation, asset delivery, and reporting. It is critical that this role has an existing playbook.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, plan, execute, and manage multi-million dollar budgeted paid media and TOF awareness campaigns across a variety of channels such as paid social, paid search, display, digital video, native, affiliates, referrals, etc.Execute established and proven playbook to drive new customer growth and optimization, including conversion attribution modeling and expertiseShare ownership of customer quality with lifecycle/retention teams, measuring LTV and optimizing audiences to drive maximum financial impact.Drive A/B and multivariate testing programs to continually improve performance across the marketing funnel, from bidding strategies to CTRs to conversionsRegularly re-forecast and plan accurate budget & spending plan to achieve and exceed annual financial planAnalyze campaign performance with regular data analysis to measure KPIs, trends, and provide meaningful insightsDrive strategy and execution to improve ROI/ROAS/LTV/PBP on an ongoing basisDevelop scalable processes for analysis, actionable insights, and best practicesMaintain the most-up-to-date knowledge of best practices, alphas, betas, and strategiesPresent key learnings and findings to Marketing and Company senior leadershipEffectively and efficiently lead a team that manages the day to day of all digital media channelsProvide leadership and mentorship to develop careers of the direct and indirect team membersMotivate and inspire teams to ensure cross-functional successProvide thought leadership around emerging ad technologiesWork cross functionally to deliver on primary media objectivesHelp create briefs for Creative + Product Team to receive new assets to use within ads, and own feedback loops with Project Managers/designers as well as Legal teamClearly communicate between Paid Media, FP&A, Lifecycle Marketing, Digital Product, Member Engagement, and Supply Chain teams on campaign changes & performanceWhen needed, work with data engineering to troubleshoot platform pixelsReconcile monthly spend with Finance/Accounts Payable TeamREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing or Finance5+ years in related field, e-commerce and agency experience preferredDigital media buying experience requiredExcellent knowledge and understanding of digital marketing channels (SEM, Social, Display, Video, Native, Affiliates, Email, etc.) and the media buying ecosystemProven success with direct response and e-commerce brands or companies, experience with subscription preferred3+ years managing a paid media teamEffective people leader, specializing in enabling team (and cross functional teams) to deliver against financial goalsWorld class leadership skills, including mentoring and developing talentExpert problem solver, developing processes for teams (including cross functional teams) to ensure performance attainmentExpertise with cohorts and audience segmentation applied to targeting or ad personalizationExpertise with multi-touch conversion attribution methodologies or platform experienceProficient with BI visualization tools (Tableau, Looker), AdWords, BingAds, DCM, Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Audience Manager, Affiliate Networks, DV360, etcMeticulous analytical and quantitative skillsExperience with Google Search Ads, Display, Meta Buying and planning certificationsProven ability to adapt and manage multiple projects effectively within deadlines and manage priorities effectively within a fast-paced environmentPREFERRED:Google Search, Ads, Display, Analytics, Measurement certificationsMeta buying and planning certificationsPOSITION TYPE:
