Boston University Enrollment Service Operations seeks a Communication Manager. This position supports email communication from Enrollment & Student Administration departments and central university offices to students enrolled at Boston University, approximately 36,000 students. This role leverages Salesforce Marketing Cloud to draft, execute, and evaluate targeted communication campaigns that seek to engage and support students while promoting university initiatives. The Communication Manager is responsible for ensuring that messaging is consistent across all communications channels, including e-mails, websites, student portal, and chatbot. This position will report to the Director of Communications for Enrolled Students.

The Communications Manager’s primary duties include:

Reviewing and writing e-mail content to be sent via Salesforce Marketing Cloud;

Maintaining documentation to compare yearly communications metrics;

Updating and tracking a central content calendar;

Monitoring student engagement with MyBU Message Center.

Boston University Enrollment Services Operations is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). BU Enrollment Service Operations plays a critical role in ENSA’s mission; enrolling and retaining students, by supporting and designing operational and technical infrastructure to support the student user experience.

About the Candidate

A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position. Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who:

Has 3-5 years of experience in marketing, especially higher education marketing.

Is attentive to detail.

Displays strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Can work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly preferred, but not required.
