Creative Visions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and United Nations NGO, empowers creative activists worldwide to raise awareness of critical issues and drive positive change through impact storytelling.Department of one, reporting to the Senior Advisor to the CEO and working closely with the Director of Program Impact and Evaluation, the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for all communications, website, and public relations efforts. The role will focus on effectively conveying Creative Vision's mission, particularly emphasizing the organization's youth programming.As a key communications partner, the Senior Manager will ensure Creative Visions is recognized as a leading voice on creative activism. They will collaborate with senior colleagues across the organization to support strategic initiatives and ensure consistent messaging.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive communication and marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. This will involve collaborating closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams to ensure effective messaging and targeted outreach.Develop content (Web, print, PPT, and other) that best conveys key messages and meets the organization's business goals.Develop and manage content for the organization's current and future social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging networks).Manage and review content for the organization's public-facing websites, updating them regularly with fresh content - track and measure engagement levels.Develop and implement a newsletter strategy, including creation, distribution, and maintenance.Track, measure, and report the effectiveness of communication programs, marketing campaigns, and events.Manage all media contacts.Develop, monitor, and adhere to budgets that align with the organization's goals and funding sources.Skills and RequirementsCreative Visions seeks an accomplished Senior Director of Marketing and Communications with at least seven years of communications experience (ideally in a non-profit) covering website content, newsletters, and public relations. The ability to take knowledge, transform it into exciting and useful messages, and disseminate it to the right audiences through the best distribution channels is essential.Specific requirements include:Highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies.Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing various key initiatives concurrently.Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to "manage by influence."A dynamic and results-oriented leader capable of fostering collaboration and driving effective communication strategies at both strategic and tactical levels.Demonstrated expertise in social media.Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.Preferred: Experience working in the social entertainment industry, including multimedia, arts, music, film, performing arts, etc.
