GreenWave’sHQ, kelp nursery, and ocean farm operations are located in Connecticut.Job DescriptionGreenWave seeks a Program Communications Manager to lead the execution of programmarketing strategies across multiple channels. Reporting to the Director of Communications,this role will collaborate closely with program staff and be responsible for developing andmanaging content and outreach strategies, leveraging tools such as SEO and digital advertisingto increase the visibility and engagement of GreenWave’s program offerings.The Program Communications Manager will assess the success of marketing and outreachefforts using data-driven analysis and refine approaches accordingly. This position is new andrequires the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment; strongorganizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously; and proficiency in buildingeffective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.This is a full-time remote position. The position also has the opportunity to work from our NewHaven, CT office if desired.ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and manage campaigns using high-quality, engaging content to market GreenWave’s existing resources and new program offerings adapted to a variety of channels, including social media, website, email newsletters, presentations, and printed materialsBuild and maintain program editorial calendar, coordinating with program staff to ensure timely and relevant content publicationLeverage SEO and digital advertising to increase the visibility and engagement of GreenWave’s program offerings among new and existing audiencesProject manage the development of program presentations for GreenWave trainings and external conferencesManage outreach list segmentation to ensure the right programming and resources are reaching the appropriate audiencesSupport the planning and execution of external-facing online programmingWork closely with program staff to understand the specifics of each program, ensuring accurate and compelling communication of program impacts and outcomes to external audiencesResearch industry trends to understand audience needs and identify potential partners, conferences, publications, and other opportunities to develop pitches, promote program offerings, and generate leads for program activitiesDevelop and maintain an internal research database for scientific articles, reports, and other materials referenced by GreenWave staffManage and maintain program-related website contentDevelop pitches and press releases for media outlets that further Programmatic goalsDesired SkillsA minimum of 5+ years of professional experience working in a related role with at least 2 years of experience leading a marketing or communications strategyExceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detailProven organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision, exercise good judgment, and take initiativeComfortable coordinating multiple deadlines and managing shifting prioritiesAbility to work as a gracious and supportive team playerExperience with or willingness to learn our tech stack, including Slack, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Google Ads, Google Suite, Hootsuite, Adobe, Zoom, Squarespace, Canva, and major social media platformsGraphic design experience and a strong aesthetic eye are a plusWhat We OfferAnnual salary $75,000–90,000Competitive benefits, including unlimited sick leave, 20 days of PTO, 401(k) match, medical, vision, and dental benefits, employer-paid short- and long-term disability, life insurance, home office stipend, and annual professional development stipend.
