As a 3D Character Artist at Alternate Games, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, detailed 3D models of characters that captivate and engage our audience. You will work closely with our art directors, animators, and other team members to ensure that each character fits seamlessly into our artistic vision and enhances the overall experience of our projects.**We're looking for interesting or different styles.**Key Responsibilities:Design and create detailed 3D character models, including high-resolution textures and shaders, from concept art and design briefs.Develop character rigs and ensure that models are fully optimized for animation and real-time rendering.Collaborate with the animation team to ensure characters move fluidly and realistically within the project’s technical constraints.Implement and refine character assets based on feedback and iterative design processes.Maintain a high standard of work while meeting deadlines and working within project scope and requirements.Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and tools to continuously enhance your skills and contribute to the team’s growth.Qualifications:Proven experience as a 3D Character Artist in [games/film/VR/etc.], with a portfolio demonstrating your proficiency in character modeling, texturing, and rigging.Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, ZBrush, or similar.Strong understanding of anatomy, character design principles, and animation-friendly modeling practices.Experience with texturing tools like Substance Painter or Adobe Photoshop.Knowledge of real-time engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and optimization techniques for game or interactive environments.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.Preferred Skills:Experience with character rigging and skinning.Familiarity with blendshapes, facial rigging, and character animation.Understanding of shaders, materials, and rendering techniques.Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., MEL, Python) is a plus.What We Offer: .A creative and collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development.The chance to work on innovative projects with a skilled and passionate team.Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options.How to Apply:
