Description

The Marketing Manager is local in Greenville, SC and is responsible for relaying information between upper management and department employees, overseeing implementation of marketing campaigns to promote products and services, generating new business leads, and developing strategies related to marketing and pricing.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Brand Management
  • Protect and promote Fresh Water's brand through writing, editing, and producing engaging content.
  • Ensure content adheres to spoken and unspoken brand guidelines.
  • Ensure all content has been technically vetted for accuracy and reflects well on Fresh Water Systems.
  • Ensure all content is beneficial for our customers and helpful in the buying process.
  • Edit, plan, and oversee all content produced by the Technical Content Writer, Product & Digital Support Specialist, UI/UX Designer, and other content and marketing reports.

Content Production & SEO
  • Act as producer for all content production (including blog posts, email marketing, video production, podcasts, landing pages, and other marketing materials).
  • Schedule and coordinate various productions by keeping a content calendar.
  • Work with the team to optimize all content for search. This includes search engines (Bing, Google) and platforms (Amazon, Facebook, Twitter).
  • Implement 5 key buyer thoughts into all content strategy.
    1. How much does it cost?
    2. What are the problems?
    3. Which is better (this or that)? [Versus and Comparisons]
    4. Who [or What] is the best?
    5. Product reviews
  • Understand customer needs/desires/wants and incorporate them into the strategy. Why does Fresh Water get hired by its customers?
  • Engage with the sales team to produce content based on customer's questions.
  • Introduce new avenues of customer engagement and content (webinars, long-form email marketing, eBooks, podcasts).
  • Partner with the e-commerce team on website enhancements (optimized landing pages and calls-to-action, collection and product page SEO, dynamic UI/UX).
  • Partner with the Product team to launch brand-specific marketing ventures, leveraging marketing tools like paid advertising, email campaigns, blog posts, and enhanced web features like buyer's guides.


Label & Packaging Design
  • Work alongside the Product Development team to create new cartridge labels, carton labels, box labels, product packaging, and other required materials to bring our new products to market.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse and Operations to provide them with print-ready labels for in-house relabeling projects.
  • Work with the Product team to adjust language, sizing, product specifications, and other requirements for pre-existing products.


Paid Advertising Management
  • Maintain a weekly cadence with Working Planet, our paid ads account manager, to review ROAS (return on ad spend), growth opportunities, performance metrics, and overall account health.
  • Facilitate website changes to allow Working Planet to take advantage of new channels of growth, including feed optimization, tag implementation, and URL redirection.
  • Work with the ecommerce teams to ensure optimized feeds are being fed into Google Merchant Center and Google Ads.
  • Strategize and execute creative content to be leveraged in dynamic search campaigns, video campaigns, and interactive display campaigns.
  • Work with the development team to improve conversion tracking and data accuracy for better spend and customer targeting, as well as overall account optimization.


Graphic Design & Web UI/UX Design Management
  • Plan and mock-up all creative requests for our graphic designer/UI/UX designer, and encourage transparent, ongoing dialogue about revisions, design strategies, and alternate designs for all graphic and web design projects.
  • Plan and diagram all proposed website UI/UX changes with the designer, (including landing page layout, buyer's guides, product page design changes, etc.). Create prototype flows that help illustrate the vision of these designs to make them easily communicable to the development team and other Fresh Water team members.
  • Plan and mock-up all internal requests for graphic design projects. This includes PDFs, product spec sheets, installation instructions, product manuals, banners, email and website creatives, campaign material for paid advertising, print advertising, brochures, and other design projects.


Site Analytics
  • Monitor organic website traffic, page performance, and conversions
  • Continual education, training, and self-edification (learning new tools for analytics, data management, design, etc.)


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in a related, manager-level role.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Works in an office setting. The ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.

Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasionally move about inside the office to access files or office equipment, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, handheld devices, copy machine, and computer printer, and operate and monitor various equipment. Must be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.

No heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
