The Quarto Group is seeking a

Sales & Marketing Assistan

t

to help in our Central Marketing Operations department. This is an entry-level position. The Sales & Marketing Assistant creates and helps produce marketing materials of all kinds for the group. They also maintain the Edelweiss online catalogs; conducting training, uploading information and managing users, create catalogs etc. Assist with pre-show planning and preparation for trade shows. They provide support to the Sales and Marketing departments as needed in a variety of tasks.

Key Results Areas

Marketing Materials / 35%

Create, and copy edit text for company catalogs.Compile and assist with creating marketing materials.Proofread all marketing materials.Support the marketing and sales staff by creating sales and organizational materials as needed.Maintain lists and distribute material quantities and final ship to quantities.Edelweiss Interactive Online catalogs / 30%

Assist with creating catalogs/flyers with Edelweiss Designer as needed.Conduct one-on-one and/or group training sessions – when needed.Maintain and troubleshoot.Uploading of information that does not feed automatically:

DRCs – uploading of titles - daily.Weekly maintenance from “Change Memo’s”.Related titles – manual process.Sell Sheets, Bonus Materials, Videos – manual process all done upon request.

Manage usersDistribute advanced copies of new titles to the Marketing & Sales department / 5%

Maintain spreadsheet of distributed advances – this at least takes 3-4 hours a week.Trade shows / 10%

Assist with gathering information for proposed shows, research, make estimates and finalizeshow list and budgets.Assist with managing all aspects of the shows including ensuring attendees understand theirroles, have materials etc.Assist with preparation and shipping of all materials needed for individual shows.Assist with preparation of reports after each show for use in planning the following year.Assist with updating sales ordering tools for shows i.e. Brandwise and Square.Other duties as requested / 20%

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Strong writing and proofreading skills.Highly organized and excellent at multitasking.Strong verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently.Highly flexible and able to quickly think of creative solutions.Comfortable managing others and requesting tasks of others when needed.Education and Experience

College degree in marketing, advertising, public relations or related field.Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft office (programs frequently used include Word, Excel). A basic grasp of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is helpful.Promote positive attitude.
