MARQUEE DEVELOPMENT is a full-service real estate firm that specializes in mixed-use sports and entertainment districts. We strategically manage every aspect of a sports-adjacent mixed-use development with a best-in-class ability to curate the experience for a team, fans and community. By bringing bring a sports-operational mindset to traditional real estate development, we focus on the critical integration of team operations and real estate to ensure the experience amplifies the brand of the district, while complementing and protecting the team brand to maximize long-term franchise value.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

Marquee Development is a full-service real estate developer and event firm. Born from professional sports ownership, their strategic operations and hospitality expertise create district spaces and events that delight neighbors and visitors throughout the year.

This exciting new position, the Senior Director of Marketing, will help Marquee Development scale the brand and business nationally. Reporting to the SVP Marketing & Events, this role is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of marketing efforts for Marquee Development, all district event programs at Gallagher Way and related Marquee Development projects, and two proprietary event brands (Winterland and Stadium Chef Series) This role is responsible for executing on the marketing strategies to attract tenants, community residents and destination visitors to our premier commercial real estate developments.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:Partner with SVP, Marketing & Events to develop overarching marketing strategy and project-specific marketing strategiesDevelop marketing plans for district programming, including recommendations for revenue generation and developing strategic partnerships; attract new and diverse audiences to all Marquee Development projects, with a focus on driving footfall and revenueOversee all marketing development and execution for special events and district programs and all Marquee Development projects across paid, earned and owned channelsLead the development of Marquee Development brand marketing efforts across social platforms, conferences, sponsorships etc. to grow brand recognition and awarenessDevelop highly engaging creative campaigns that align with business objectives.Guide all aspects of the marketing strategy, including research, budget, planning, analytics and reporting to measure the impactActively monitor the strategy and execution of all marketing efforts and adjust plans as necessary to achieve business goalsDevelop and formalize team processes and project managementOversee current staff of (3) Marketing Team members- managing output and day-to-day progress to achieve departmental goals; with the opportunity to build and grow the Marketing teamServe as strategic subject matter expert and work closely with development teams on cross-functional business development and strategic initiatives as neededPartner with development, design and constructions teams on public space design process for all new business, including marketing strategy and philosophy and curation of all related collateral for pitch decks and C-level presentationsManage relationships with external creative and media agenciesNegotiate and execute contracts with marketing partners, vendors, and service providersStray abreast of marketing industry trends and across comparable districts and venues to provide thought leadership to the marketing team, senior management and other stakeholdersConnect, build and maintain strong relationships with tenant partners, clients, vendors, internal team and related departmentsSupport Marquee Development team members and key initiatives across company portfolio as neededPerform other duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college10+ years of professional work experience leading marketing efforts in events, hospitality, and sports & entertainmentDeep knowledge of marketing best practices across paid, earned and owned channelsStrong competency in managing the marketing strategy and creative process from conception to execution, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDemonstrated ability to manage fiscal calendar budgets as well as individual marketing budgetsExcellent campaign management skills, with the ability to guide multi-channel efforts from development through execution while adhering to timelines and budgetsEntrepreneurial drive, with the ability to operate and lead through ambiguityPeople management experience: proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop team to achieve business objectivesComfortable in a self-directed environment with proven success working collaboratively with cross-functional teamsExcellent interpersonal skills: able to relate well to people and build constructive relationships inside and outside the organizationDemonstrated fluency in Microsoft Office programsExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekendsWillingness to travel up to 30%WHAT SETS YOU APART:
