This environment gives our people the opportunity to hone current skills and build new capabilities, while discovering their genius.Come be a part of our team - you'll work with great people, pioneering products and cutting-edge technology.We are looking for a Managing Counsel to provide federal and state marketing, product and UDAP and UDAAP legal support for the Direct to Consumer Marketing team.What You'll Bring:Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required and 6+ years of experience, with at least 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney (in-house or law firm) advising on the regulatory compliance of consumer financial services products including federal and state UDAP/UDAAP legal support.Preferred experience includes working at consumer financial services company, advising clients regarding marketing and advertising, product design, consumer communications, complaint management and issue remediation.Knowledge and understanding of the following areas of law are preferred, but not required: FCRA, GLBA, privacy.Ability to influence internal/external business and regulatory issues that have an impact on the business.A team player ready to work closely in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with other attorneys, compliance professionals, business clients and senior leaders.Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills (root cause analysis, problem solving, issue spotting, and decision making).Strong work ethic with the demonstrated ability to manage and handle a significant and diverse work flow in an effective and timely manner.Ability to work independently, yet exhibit sound judgment in seeking guidance and direction from senior attorneys and escalating issues.Impact You'll Make:The role will provide ongoing legal support to the Marketing and Solutions team including:Interpreting applicable laws and regulationsIdentifying, anticipating and protecting the company against related risk exposureCounsel and advise the U.S. Direct to Consumer business on sales and marketing practice activities, digital marketing strategy and third party advertising to our direct consumer customers.Supporting growth and mitigating risk in the direct to consumer business through expertise in compliant product design and fulfillment, customer experience, issue management and remediation.This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Benefits:TransUnion provides flexible benefits including flexible time off for exempt associates, paid time off for non-exempt associates, tuition reimbursement, additional (following any short-term disability) 10 weeks of parental leave with gradual return, adoption assistance, fertility coverage, spousal and domestic partner benefits, charity gift matching, employee stock purchase plan, retirement contributions with employer match, organizational growth potential through our online learning platform with guided career tracks, and access to TransUnion's Employee Resource Groups.We are committed to being a place where diversity is not only present, it is embraced.
