Meridian is a unified design and development system purpose-built for crafting user experiences for drivers, shippers, operators, associates, carriers, and shoppers at Amazon. The Meridian team operates as the single-threaded-owner of the design system. We are a group of multi-functional design and development professionals focused on creating a beautiful and easy-to-use system that saves our partners time and raises the bar on design and front-end solutions at Amazon.
In this role, you'll be able to innovate, deliver, and influence. You should have a demonstrable track record of success delivering high-quality design system solutions at scale. You should possess strong UX skills and a deep knowledge of standard web and mobile components and patterns.

Key job responsibilities
Develop, evolve, and champion all aspects of the Meridian Design System.
Contribute to the design and UX roadmap for Meridian.
Collaborate with design and development teams inside and outside of Operations that leverage Meridian for their efforts.
Present design solutions and gracefully defend your design decisions to the team and partners.
Communicate clearly with both internal and external customers.
Provide design support to teams using or looking to adopt the design system.

Basic Qualifications
6+ years of design experience
Have an available online portfolio
Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
