As Snowflake has evolved from a data warehouse to a broad platform, we need to transform our web interface from a tool for managing a database and running queries into a platform that supports just as diverse a set of tasks as the core platform does. Today this means a place for data engineers to build pipelines, a place for data scientists to build models, and a place for developers to create and share Streamlit apps. But soon, we want to open up this platform to third party developers, allowing them to extend the experience to enable all kinds of new types of data work to happen, all within a single, cohesive platform.

Is this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below.We are looking for a product leader to transform the core of our UI into this broad platform, first for our own experiences and tools, and then for our burgeoning set of third party developers.

AS A SENIOR MANAGER, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, YOU WILL:

Be responsible for the core of our user experience - everything from IA, navigation, and component architecture to the technical underpinnings and how our UI works seamlessly with the Snowflake DB.Develop and evangelize a vision for how our own experiences will evolve across multiple workloads, from data engineering to data analysis to applications and streamlit.Be responsible for the technical layer between our core data platform and our user experience, working with our engineers to develop ways to design UIs that instantly make use of massive amounts of both data and metadata while staying up to date in real time.Help define and build the design system that threads through the entire Snowflake user experience.Partner incredibly closely with our design and engineering teams to envision, design, and deliver an extensible UI platform that will be used not only for Snowflake's own experiences, but also for third party applications developed on top of our platform.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR MANAGER, PRODUCT WILL HAVE:

A mix of UI and platform experience, able to understand both how to think about user flows and navigation, but also able to think about how to model that in terms of objects and permissions.Experience with core elements of SaaS platform including but not limited to design systems, componentization, experimentation platforms, accessibility and internationalization.An eye for great design, and is able to understand how to work hand in hand with design teams to build frameworks and platforms that make it easier to achieve.A strong technical background, able to think about how front ends and back ends work best together, and is able to design systems that take advantage of a platform's strengths and minimize its weaknesses.A track record of shipping high quality products and platforms that are delightful for both users and developers.

It is every employee's duty to keep customer information secure and confidential.The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
