Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer has advanced knowledge of specialized design principles, design thinking, trends, and production efficiencies using Adobe Creative Suite and/or other standard design software. They are experienced in creating compelling communications using established best practices for content conversion. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in a production environment for a healthy balance of quality and quantity. Designs include campaign and new product launch communications across digital, presentation, paid media, print, and other omni-channels where our customers consume content. Designers with copyediting experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

This role reports to the Manager of Creative Operations and works cross-functionally with Marketing Strategists to develop a wide variety of print and digital assets for a global audience. From an aligned communication plan, the Graphic Designer executes drafts and manages revisions with project teammates for delivery on-time.

Key responsibilities:

Create high quality communications for all marketing channels

in cross-functional cooperation with product management, marketing, and sales. Works with a project team, to create integrated campaigns and launches from planning to delivery by interviewing subject matter experts or downloading strategic briefs. Contributes to messaging development that drives commercial goals for Hach’s solutions to a targeted customer persona. Refines and revises content with balanced stakeholder and benefit management skills.

Execute copyediting/proofreading to responsibly ensure all communications adhere to global standards

, both in grammatical accuracy but also to ensure Hach’s style and voice is carried through.

Execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control

actions according to production sequence to assure accurate brand standards are applied to all English Master deliverables.

Execute Deliverable Process

using Digital Asset Management tool for the accurate and consistent use of taxonomy on all delivered English Masters. Archive and manage all component media and WIP files for optimized recall and development.

Contribute to process improvements resulting in better quality and/or shorter lead times,

including participation in all Visual Management/Daily Management for On-Time Delivery metrics.

Contribute to the creative evolution of Hach’s brand

including development of pre-designed templates, organization level materials, thought leadership activities and other brand governance measures.

Contribute to project management

by sharing ownership with project teams processes through visual management and participation in project workshops.

Create document identification numbers

and other necessary taxonomy for the maintenance of communications across Hach’s marketing technology tool stack.

Champion Creative Ops

by encouraging and coaching internal content requestors to follow processes for the prioritization of commercialized activity through use of our request form. Lead and coach design thinking best practices in all storming, norming, and forming sessions for optimized idea generation and prototyping. Represent the Brand Governance team by steering content requestors to resources for proper brand application on all customer touch points.

Education and Background

A BA/BS in English, Communication, Technical Communication, Marketing or related field, advanced education preferred.

5 years of experience design production in an B2C or B2B setting.

Advanced skills in

Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Figma, project management software, and other cloud-based data management tools.

Familiar with project management software tools, preferably

Wrike.

Experience with Digital Asset Management tools such as

BrandFolder.

Experience in the creation of

motion graphics.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $75000 - $85000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
