ROGERCO, Inc. delivers advanced technology, cybersecurity, communications advisory, and multi-media services and is looking for a social media coordinator to support an integrated communications effort for the Commander Naval Surface Force, Pacific (CNSP) based in Coronado, CA. As part of a team of creative writers and designers, you will help tell the Navy’s story through social media, graphic design, photography, and video. A successful candidate will be creative, fast on their feet, and self-driven. Ideal candidates have previous experience with the Navy or branches of the armed forces. You must have an active SECRET security clearance.
Apply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.Responsibilities:Create/curate posts for social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)Monitor owned social media accountsDevelop social media strategy to achieve CNSP communications objectivesProvide training to ships on social media use and OPSEC and online conduct and the UCMJForecast events and upcoming campaigns that require graphics/videos to support and request their creationCreate occasional basic graphics and videosTake photos and video of ship's arriving/departing San Diego for use on social media pages and in printed productsEngage with relevant influencers/followersProvide inputs on social media for monthly reports internal and external to the organizationBrief Prospective Commanding Officers/Prospective Executive Officers on social media best practices and Navy-wide policies, procedures, and guidelinesBrief Collateral Duty Public Affairs Officers from the fleet's ships on social mediaMonitor fleet's ships’ social media pages to ensure compliance to social media protocolCurate content for the web team to post regarding ships and other fleet activitiesProcess and release official Navy photos to DVIDSQualifications:2-4 years of relevant experience (experience in a federal government or armed forces setting a plus)Strong editing and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detailExperience managing social media accounts for a large organizationExperience with photography/videographer production/post-production techniquesActive SECRET clearance
