Job Description - Area Marketing Manager (01021550)DescriptionThe Area Marketing Manager is a key member of Weyerhaeuser’s Southern Timberlands Business. As the Area Marketing Manager, you will be the leader for all timber marketing activities for the Brookhaven/Hammond Area and support the overall timber marketing strategy for the Gulf South Marketing Region. This position includes travel throughout the region up to 50%. This is a Full Time, Exempt position located in Brookhaven, MS, and reports to the Gulf South Region Marketing Manager.Key FunctionsDevelop and execute the annual timber marketing planBuild and maintain positive relationships with customersManage contract agreements and administer timber sale contracts (stumpage and delivered)Forecast and communicate timber market changes to business leadersQualificationsBachelor’s degree (or higher) in Forestry; Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Marketing and business-related fields will be considered in combination with forestry experienceAt least five years of experience in forestry; experience in timber procurement, harvesting, and/or marketing is preferredExperience managing contract agreements and finding win/win solutions with the customer’s concept in mindExceptional interpersonal skills that include conflict resolution, team problem solving, and relationship buildingAbility to communicate confidently and clearlyProven ability to accurately appraise timber value using timber cruising and market analysisGood understanding of timber harvesting and deliveryKnowledge of current timber market dynamics including units of measure, product types, log specifications, prices, supply, and demandStrong computer skills and an eagerness to learn and use new technologyExceptional analytical skillsIntrinsically motivated to experience professional and personal growthCompetitive, entrepreneurial attitude with a strong desire to deliver above average resultsWhat We OfferCompensation:

This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $79,300 - $119,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5-10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.Benefits:

Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.Paid Time Off or Vacation:

We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.About Timberlands
