This comprehensive two-year program offers rotational immersion experiences designed for outstanding graduates from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs), who are in the early stages of their careers. At our core, we offer rewarding, hands-on, career-building experiences to our Fellows, granting them the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with industry-leading executives, managers, and colleagues from diverse teams across the entire Monks organization.

About the RoleAs an S4 Fellow, you will have the chance to explore the different career paths available within the digital marketing and advertising industry. Through the rotations and other learning activities, Fellows will be able to identify their areas of interest and strengths and make informed decisions about their professional journeys within the industry. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work.

Fellowship Program Overall Responsibilities

Participate in the required program curriculum, which includes individual and group projects, professional development training, and skill enhancement.

Work with leading executives, managers, and colleagues from various teams across the organization, gaining hands-on experience in advertising and marketing services.

Collaborate with other Fellows and team members on projects and tasks.

Adhere to Monks' company policies and regulations while maintaining accurate records of activities and progress.

Deliver high-quality work that exceeds expectations, being a positive and productive member of the organization's community.

Act professionally and represent the organization with integrity, striving for excellence and continuous improvement in all aspects of work.

Rotation Assignment Key Responsibilities:A Fellow's duties will revolve around the guidelines or tasks set by rotation managers as they assist with various projects. Depending on your assigned team, the following list provides an idea of the tasks that may potentially be included, but are not limited to:

Provide assistance to teams/departments working across various client industries, including tech companies, consumer technology, social impact, wellness, and influencer marketing.

Learn how to build and develop media relationships through personalized pitching efforts to key stakeholders in order to develop your personal network.

Source and curate relevant publisher and influencer lists that can be used for future activations and storytelling opportunities.

Keep a record of inventory of digital assets, attend weekly calls, take notes, and perform ad hoc tasks as needed.

Assist teams with building marketing, including periodically updating reports with new data and the creation of dashboards with data visualizations.

Conduct market research, including assessing similar organizations and reviewing various data sources to identify trends and opportunities.

Attend regular virtual brainstorms to develop innovative ways to create ownable media and digital moments for clients and garner editor attention.

Participate in specific training sessions on topics such as pitch crafting, influencer marketing, public speaking, etc.

Contribute to the drafting and writing of client materials and communications.

Provide support to teams by managing projects and sourcing resources.

Other duties may be assigned based on business & department needs.

About YouThe Essentials

:

At least 18 years of age at the time of application, based in and authorized to work in the U.S. is required.

Recent graduates from a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) or another Minority-Serving Institution (MSI), who have earned a Bachelor's or Master's degree within the past 12 months or have no more than two years of post-graduation experience as of the program start date.

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing/Advertising, Communications, Journalism, PR, Digital Media & Technology, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Graphic & UX Design, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related creative or technology field.

Previous internship/freelance experience in industry-related roles or at least 1+ years of general work experience is preferred.

Capable of providing confidential support to clients with sensitive information.

Ability to commit to the full duration of the program and to be placed on various teams across the organization based on business needs.

Thrive in collaborative team environments on diverse projects as well as the ability to self-direct and work independently, as needed.

Flexibility to manage multiple projects and adapt throughout the rotational structure of this program.

Strong written and oral communication skills, along with being an effective listener.

Salary Range: $70,000—$70,000 USD
