Hannaford Supermarkets started out as a fresh produce vendor in Portland, Maine way back in 1883, and is still connected to those early roots as a local market. Hannaford actively seeks out farmers and producers to join our Local program which celebrates not only local foods, but the preservation of farmland, local traditions and local jobs. The connection we have to the source of our fresh foods is core to the way we do business, becoming the first major supermarket in the United States to document that all its seafood products were sustainably harvested.Looking for this associate to reside in the Western Division of Hannaford.Develops marketing strategies and executes marketing programs in support of the Hannaford brand strategy, to achieve Hannaford's short and long-term business, brand equity, and marketing goals. Involves close partnership with retail operations and partners in the strategic development, creation and execution of strategic retail marketing plans with a deep understanding of the markets and competitive landscape within our operating territory.Primary Duties:* Develop marketing strategies into structured marketing and promotional programs that are in alignment with the brand strategy and business priorities, executed on time and on budget. Go-to-market plans to support Grand Re-Openings, Grand Openings, and Defense Plans.* Serve as strategic lead for retail marketing programs: Initiate creative/production job requests, provide relevant content, proof creative, confirm costs and manage budget allocations, communicate relevant details to retail operations (including Ecommerce) and other corporate business partners, and provide consistent and thorough follow-up throughout the life of the plan.* Collaborate closely with other strategy team members to identify opportunities to link programs with business-building plans, and/or healthy-living initiatives.
