OverviewSummary

The Director, Solutions Marketing creates the marketing strategy and plans aligned with solution areas to drive business results. This position will play an integral role in organizing product launches, development of sales plays, demand campaigns, content development, as well as leading and managing of a team of solution marketing managers.

The Director, Solutions Marketing will know our competitors, have a strong product and solutions marketing background with an eye on quality content creation with a customer first mindset.

They will need to understand customer needs combined with our solutions and be able to have a very strong handle on what the customers do today and what they plan to do in the future and how they make their buying solutions.

The Director, Solutions Marketing will collaborate closely with the various functions of marketing, portfolio management, sales enablement to develop innovative GTM programs that drive interest and demand.

This role will also require the ability to lead and develop a new function to enable a structure that drives high impact business results with focus and strong execution.

It will be very important to ensure we are representing our solution value propositions in a way that resonates and clearly articulates the needs of the buyer. This role will also need to develop and track performance metrics and develop and inform approaches to maximize impact.

This role will also work very closely with portfolio teams and related sales channels to inform marketing approaches and execution.

It is a balancing act that requires strong diplomatic skills, including knowing when to push back and when to dive in.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions

Leads specific solution areas and the solution marketing team

Acts as the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria

Understands the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned

Collaborates with marketing functions, practice and portfolio management and enablement to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas and associated strategies that will differentiate and integrate efforts through the eyes of the customer

Leads on developing best practices for our primary customer segments and the buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make, then drives changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what is learned to enable a strong persona based foundation to inform marketing strategies and associated marketing campaign engagement

Develops marketing plans for ConvergeOne solutions to include key marketing strategies, massaging, positioning, marketing content and campaigns, resource plans and associated budgets

Assesses from a holistically view of the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support ConvergeOne solutions on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business stakeholders with recommendations

Plans the launches of solutions/sales plays and supporting releases of existing products and manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan

Leads and acts as the primary thought leader for the products externally, including speaking engagements and written works

Develops strategies to support the sales channels in direct coordination with sales enablement; active role in content to train them on the business opportunities that ConvergeOne can solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral

QualificationsRequired Qualifications

10+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)

Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing

Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office 365

Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools

Familiar with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot and sales enablement platforms

Exceptional marketing ROI skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working and report on direct business impact to sr. executives

Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a very strong writer

Excellent people and management skills to manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, colleagues, and third parties

Pay Range

$150,000 - $190,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
