General Description of Position

Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Information Systems, and in collaboration with the Administrative Director, Marketing & Communications, the Website Producer is responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting, and advancing SCC's official public website as the institution's primary marketing and recruitment digital experience. The Website Producer is expected to utilize and extend the existing themes within the College's content management system (Omni CMS) to develop world-class digital experiences and user journeys for all constituents on southeast.edu. This full-time regular position is onsite, based on a 260-day calendar.

Essential FunctionsWebsite production and maintenance: Design and implement sites, and/or pages within southeast.edu through components (use of and development of), structured content presentation, and ongoing maintenance.Plan, develop, monitor, and manage user experiences on southeast.edu, ensuring optimized use and development of HTML/CSS/JS, user-focused information architecture, WCAG 2.0 AA+ accessibility, and proper presentation of content.Develop and own the technical search engine optimization strategies (SEO) for the College. This includes understanding opportunities for enhanced SEO, overseeing the implementation of SEO best practices, and SEO tracking tools to monitor success and contribute to strategy. Create on-page optimization to produce relevant search results and a positive user experience, growing site traffic, lead volume, and brand awareness.Design, develop, implement, and maintain web architecture and standards for the College in a highly collaborative structure and environment.Manage the College's implementation of marketing analytics, including the use of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.Communicate with Division Members and Collaboration with Colleagues: Work with members of other units of IT on platform selection, development methods, programming language selection, and common code maintenance practices as well as identifying and mitigating security risks.Work with teammates in Marketing & Communications regarding marketing, architecture, and policies, and assist with content management and review (visual identity and branding), client interaction, concept development, prototype, design, documentation, navigation, general functionality, image optimization, quality assurance, final execution, and ongoing maintenance. Communicate with the supervisor in a timely, factual, clear, concise, and meaningful manner.Stay current on trends in web development, user interaction, and accessibility, and apply that knowledge to refine and improve approaches, systems, workflows, standards, and tools.Testing and recommending digital products to the College's web development community to support efforts assuring quality, usability, and accessibility across browsers and mobile devices.Follow College Policies and Procedures.Review and edit content to ensure the overall branding and visual identity practices are in accordance with the College's visual and brand identity. Properly interprets and uses office and College policies and procedures. Recognizes inconsistencies and needed improvements in areas of responsibility and presents creative ideas for correction or improvement.Ensure Accessibility of Electronic and Information Technology Ability to understand and implement the requirements of Section 508 (29 U.S.C. '794d). Develop, and implement to WCAG 2.0 AA+ standards.Participate in College Marketing Activities, attend, participate, and support Marketing activities (i.e. P.I. staff meetings, College promotions, etc.) and College activities and teams as required and schedule permits.Perform other College and office duties as assigned. This will include but is not limited to, supporting and promoting the College and Marketing & Communications, and supporting student recruitment through online marketing.Promote/Support Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Access

Marginal Functions

Use graphics software (ex: Figma, Adobe Suite) to design user interfaces, to properly size images and other graphics for the website.Produce in responsive design, ensuring proper presentation and content choreography per device usage.May be required to perform associated duties, functions, or assignments in other divisions/programs/areas as required.Perform other College functions and duties as assigned.Must be able to work varied days, hours, shifts, locations, and campuses as required. Work schedules (hours/days/work location) are scheduled by Southeast Community College based on the needs of the College. Work hours, shifts, days, and work locations may vary depending on the needs of Southeast Community College and are subject to modification. Emergency or scheduled special activities may require hours outside of the regular workweek.Required Knowlege, Skills, and Abilities

Familiarity with front-end development and implementation with HTML/CSS/JavaScript including experience with front-end frameworks (ex: Bootstrap, TailwindCSS, VueJS). Expertise with PHP is preferred.Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Drupal, and OmniCMS.Experience with graphics programs such as Figma, AdobeXD, Sketch, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.Complete understanding of responsive and accessible website builds for desktop and mobile.Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 AA+ accessibility standards and how to apply them for accessible user experiences.Experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to track and report user journeys, goal conversions, and other marketing objectives.Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to manage website traffic rankings on major search engines.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work well independently and in a dynamic team environment, and collaborate well with many individuals (administrators, faculty, students, and staff).Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and thorough.Ability to organize, analyze, and prioritize workload effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision to meet deadlines.Ability to discern problems and facilitate resolutions maturely.Flexible and open to change.Innovative, enthusiastic, and creative.Positive attitude and professional demeanor.Excellent project management skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and prioritize workload effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision to meet deadlines.Commitment to the mission and vision of the College.Ability to lift and carry up to (50) fifty pounds for short distances, and move tables, chairs, and media equipment.Ability to communicate effectively both in writing, in person, and on the phone.The individual must possess the above skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant *full-time experience OR Associate's Degree and four years of relevant *full-time experience*Full-time work experience in programming experience using Web servers, SQL, and RDBMS; working knowledge of Web development tools such as HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and CSS; working with video editing software; and experience managing a Web site built around a Content Management System.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Business Information Systems, Computer Programming, or a closely related field.Five (5) years of work experience building and managing large websites built around a Content Management System; demonstrated experience leading website strategy in accordance with marketing and communication strategy; demonstrated experience developing and implementing front-end code to support and optimize user experience; and higher education website management.
