At BILL, we are passionate about delivering world-class experiences for our customers, and our Design Systems team plays a critical role in ensuring consistent and scalable design across all products. We are looking for a talented and motivated P2 Product Designer to join our team and contribute to building and evolving our design system.Key Responsibilities:Design System Contribution : Assist in maintaining and evolving the design system by contributing to component creation, visual guidelines, and documentation, ensuring the system meets accessibility standards and design consistency.Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and other designers, to implement and iterate on design system components, while learning best practices for system governance.Visual Design : Produce high-quality visual design assets that adhere to BILL's design principles and standards. Focus on clarity, consistency, and usability in component design, following established patterns.Component Library : Partner with other members of the design systems team to develop and test new components and patterns in Figma and ensure their scalability across different products and platforms.Documentation & Guidelines : Contribute to the creation of comprehensive documentation for design system usage, ensuring that teams across the company can efficiently implement the system.Feedback & Iteration : Participate in design critiques, provide thoughtful feedback, and implement iterative improvements based on peer and stakeholder input.Support Adoption : Help teams across BILL adopt the design system, offering guidance on how to apply components and ensuring that the system is used correctly and effectively.We'd love to chat if you have:

Qualifications:

1-3 years of professional experience in product design, preferably with some exposure to working within or with a design system.Strong understanding of fundamental design principles, including layout, typography, and color theory.Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar, with a strong interest in learning and improving technical design skills.Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS) and a willingness to collaborate with engineering teams to bring designs to life.Basic knowledge of accessibility best practices and a desire to contribute to inclusive design efforts.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions.Personal Attributes:

Have a visual design background and can partner with our brand team to imbue all of our digital products with a great Bill brand experience (via the design system).Has experience and comfort with presenting to leadership.Experience in FinTech / the financial industry.The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL's bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
