Position Overview

The 30+ year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industry domestically and internationally and is positioned along the Houston Ship Channel providing training, occupational medicine, screening and innovative solutions to industry. This role is critical in driving the success of our marketing initiatives by overseeing content creation, managing marketing campaigns, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. The Content Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing Director to develop and implement strategies that enhance our brand, engage our target audience, and drive business growth. This role will primarily office on-site at HASC headquarters.

Essential Job ResponsibilitiesOversee the creation, curation, and distribution of high-quality content across multiple channels, including website, social media, email, and printManage, lead, and mentor a team of content creators, social media specialists, and marketing coordinators to execute campaigns and meet marketing objectivesProvide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and fostering a collaborative team environmentLead marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all deliverables are met according to timelines and objectivesCreative and innovative implementation of marketing campaigns that align with brand messaging with precise attention to detail for editing and delivering feedback to team membersCollaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce engaging and compelling contentWork closely with the Marketing Director and other stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor integrated marketing campaignsCoordinate with creative, digital, and sales teams to ensure campaigns are executed on time and within budgetAnalyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights for optimizationTechnical aptitude to learn new or customized programs quickly and desire to continually seek out educational opportunities on new tools and programsAbility to engage audiences as the primary content creator and scheduler for the company website, email campaigns, promotional materials, advertisements, and occasionally podcasts, blogs, and other mediumsMaintain project schedules, track progress, and manage resources effectivelyCollaborate with line of business leaders to establish priorities and assess current departmental and corporate needs to promote servicesAttend industry events occasionally, as needed, including but not limited to conferences, trade shows, golf tournaments, networking mixers, etc.Identify and implement creative ways to advance our marketing and business development effortsMaintain department and personal expense budgetsPromote and sell all HASC lines of business with full knowledge of all products and servicesMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.Provide regular updates to the Marketing DirectorUtilize data-driven approaches to refine marketing strategies and tactics.Ability to work under pressure and balance many competing priorities in an organized mannerOther duties as requiredPreferred Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related10+ years of experience in a marketing roleManager/Supervisor experience leading a team for 3+ yearsExperience in the petrochemical or oil and gas industryValid and current Driver's LicenseStrong initiative to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to lead meetings, conversations and present with authorityAnalytical thinker with data analytics experienceExcellent writing, communication, and presentation skillsExperience with project, website, email, and social media tools (HubSpot, Asana, WordPress, etc.)Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Workspace applicationsKnowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketingThorough understanding of and ability to use Microsoft OfficeGoogle Analytics certification, HubSpot certificationsRequirements

Flexibility to work various hours and/or travel as needed and required by the department, including early mornings, evenings and weekendsAbility to prioritize, excellent time management skillsProven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisionsWillingness to work at different locations if the company need arises

Work Environment

Reporting Responsibilities

The Content Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing. This position may have direct reports.
