Call will vary from one month to the next. Typically it is 5-6 shifts every 4 weeks)On call is required Unit Information: (Operating Room) Location: Alaska Regional Hospital Address: 2801 Debarr Road, Anchorage AK 99508 Floor: 2nd floor Building: Main hospital building General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds 11 ORs Shift for this position Three twelve-hour shifts (weekends if possible) Call Expectation Based on the number of employees taking call, averaging 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift (Average for 8 week sign up period) Number of Staff Varies depending on day Type of staff: o Day Shift Average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub techs and 5 Surgical support techs o Night Shift One charge RN and one scrub tech in house with call team backup Patient Ratios 1:1 Type of equipment Variety of OR beds and equipment EMR - Epic Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: OR RN Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Patient advocate as circulator while being a resource for the sterile field Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Experience as circulator Experience as Scrub CNOR List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Total Joints, Multi-level spine fusions, Variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General) Very little ENT, Dental, Eyes or plastics Best personality Fit: Positive outlook. Willing to work with team members.
