Job Summary

The Part-Time Lab Instructor assists students in improving their skills in Writing, Reading, Math, etc. at the Learning Support Center.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Provides lab orientation at the beginning of each term* Assists students with software programs* Develops lab instructional materials* Provides lab instruction through tutorials, workshops, lectures, and demonstrations to students* Monitors students progress* Supports the Lab Manager/Coordinator with the delivery of instructional objectives* Monitors academic progress, maintains students' records and attendance rosters* Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, English related field and one (1) year teaching experience* All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution* An aptitude for teaching and interest in working with students* Knowledge of computer applications and educational technologies for academic support* Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)* Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community* Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment* Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments

Additional Requirements

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
