PCL is an innovative organization that focuses on the future of our employees as much as the future of construction. As a Senior Graphic Designer for our Civil Infrastructure Division in the Tempe, AZ office, you will contribute to our growing Marketing Team by:
Responsibilities
• Creating visual communication plans for mid-size to large projects and initiatives, ensuring they are measurable
• Creating and presenting storyboards for proposals
• Working with proposal team to develop visually compelling layouts and graphics for proposals
• Designing collateral, including brochures and large format graphics
• Working with executives and pursuit teams to develop PowerPoint presentations
• Creating and enhancing brand awareness through internal/external communication
• Developing and maintaining strong, customer-focused relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and decision makers
• Conceptualizing and translating ideas into visual elements
• Executing assigned tasks and priorities within creative team, working within project schedules and deadlines.
• Serving as a champion and leader for the PCL brand
• Working as a member of a larger marketing team to provide graphic support for communications, general marketing, and business development projects
• Overseeing filing structure for visual communications assets and archiving as needed.
Qualifications
• Post-secondary degree in graphic design or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a related discipline
• Exceptional skills in page layout design
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Proven knowledge of current design and advertising principles and ability to apply those principles to create visual communications in line with company brand.
• Demonstrates advanced design and layout skills to create impactful visual communications. Portfolio must include examples.
• Proven experience in communicating key technical information for general consumption in a compelling manner
• In-depth experience with pre-press, offset, and digital printing process
• Proficiency in designing to preset graphic standards and guidelines to ensure cohesive visual communications.
• Experience with videography and editing a plus
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Detail-oriented
• Effective time management skills
• Knowledge of the architectural, engineering and/or construction industry a plus
• Ability to travel to jobsites and company offices as required
