Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and you’ll directly support and promote our brand, image and reputation. As part of the public relations team, you’ll provide a wide range of communications services to internal and external audiences.

PR Supervising Associate Job Description

The opportunity

As part of a highly collaborative team, you’ll be contributing to and supporting the execution and management of the public relations and external communications programs for the US Industry Groups/Sectors at EY. You’ll support the optimization, coordination and success of PR initiatives for five Industry Groups and help us amplify our brand, elevate our US sectors and reach our target audiences.

Your key responsibilities

Actively participate in planning, executing and measuring public relations and media relations

Engage in proactive media outreach to promote the firm’s activities

Serve as a project manager for PR campaigns

Serve as a point of contact for earned media inquiries

Support/provide coverage for team members’ PTO or extended leaves

Manage and optimize reporting, documentation and tracking

With guidance from PR Leaders, coordinate with PR agencies to execute public relations plans and media strategies to raise visibility of the firm and to gain coverage of EY insights and thought leadership with opportunities for our leaders to speak with media, participate in panels and communicate with stakeholders

Secure proactive and reactive media opportunities and host media interviews with EY spokespeople

Research topics, headlines, media outlets and opportunities for PR activation

Develop media training and prep documents, including briefing documents for media interviews

Prepare/edit news releases, bylines and key messages

Maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with marketing and social media teams

Track and regularly report out on results and metrics to relevant stakeholders and teams

Develop social media posts to amplify media coverage and external opportunities

Skills and attributes for success

Experience in public relations and media relations

Excellent research, editing and writing skills

PR agency management experience

Strong executive presence and presentation skills

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-performing group

Ability to take initiative and work in a remote setting

Ability to see projects through end to end, effectively managing and prioritizing deadlines

Can leverage existing media relationships across sectors and industries

Experience providing PR counsel to leaders and key stakeholders

Strong project management and interpersonal communication skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint, as well as experience using AI tools and media intelligence tools such as Cision and Factiva

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in PR or communication or equivalent experience

Four to six years of relevant PR experience

What we offer

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $72,100 to $134,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $86,600 to $153,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
