United StatesJob Overview:The VP of Corporate Marketing will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the Company’s corporate marketing organization. The person will ensure that Company's brand is effectively communicated globally to the target audience, driving growth and enhancing the Company's reputation in the marketplace. The person will oversee the branding related to marketing and brand strategy, advertising, awareness, creative services, corporate messaging, external and internal communications and the strategic use of marketing data to contribute to Company’s business growth. This leader will define, implement and measure strategic, global corporate marketing initiatives that build awareness and consideration for the brand, and enhance marketing and business development efforts.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Marketing & Communications StrategyDefine and execute the corporate marketing and brand strategy resulting in consistent global branding, messaging and positioning to support Company’s strategies and objectives.Stay updated on industry trends and foster innovation to drive Company’s competitive advantage in the market.Create solid network of strategic partnerships and develop marketing & branding plans or initiatives that drive sales and revenue.Adjust marketing plans to stay ahead in the industry by understanding industry and client trends, analyzing client needs and competitor strategies.Define Company’s targeting and positioning with respect to competitors, and promote Company’s competitive advantages in the marketplace.Develop and implement a segmentation strategy in partnership with Business Development or key stakeholders.Define and execute programs to engage with influencers such as media, analysts and industry thought leaders, to ensure they have a positive and current view of the Company.Present a relevant and differentiated global brand and ensure consistent stewardship as appropriate in areas of direct and indirect ownership including events, web properties, media and analyst relations, executive speaking opportunities, thought leadership, as well as employee and community-relations.Build and maintain relationships with media and industry influencers, promoting positive brand awareness and expanding the company's reach.Manage Public Relations globally and guide relevant topical press coverage for the company and external thought leadership placements for key executives.Develop and implement communication strategy and plans by working with leadership members and cross-function collaborations.Partner with business development, operations, and relevant key stakeholders in order to project consistent corporate messages internally and externally.Marketing OperationsPlan and organize Marketing & Communications daily operations and oversee implementation of programs and projects to strengthen Corporate branding globally.Design and implement marketing campaigns, public relations programs and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press etc.) by collaborating with internal teams and external partners.Monitor marketing performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and keep Company Leadership and key stakeholders updated.Develop and manage Corporate Marketing budget, allocating resources for advertising, promotions, events and other campaigns to optimize results.Manage the interface with external agencies including but not limited to PR, advertising, branding, creative services, events and web.Oversee the creation of engaging and relevant content for various channels, including social media, email, Company website, etc.Review market research and analyze competitor information.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, protecting the company's reputation and maintaining ethical standards in all marketing initiatives.Continuously assess and optimize the company's marketing technology stack to improve efficiency and maintain a competitive edge.Collaborate cross-functionally on Company Trademark and relevant intangible asset registration and management.Build and manage a highly efficient team of marketing professionals, and provide guidance on executing goals, conduct performance reviews and regular coaching.Coordinate the responsibilities and assignment of the marketing team to ensure high quality and effective delivery.Cultivate, train and develop team members with deep knowledge of the industry and strong function competencies.Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervise employees, as required. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Job Requirements:College degree (BA or BS) in Marketing, Communications, English, or Journalism required, relevant equivalent experience and/or advanced degree.15 years relevant experience in a high-growth global clinical research organization with direct responsibility for corporate and/or product marketing strategy and execution.Track record of success in an executive marketing leadership/management role at a high growth global clinical research organization.Experience leading the branding strategy and exercise.Understanding of regional marketing in key countries aligned with Company strategies (such as China, United States, Germany, UK, etc.).Critical thinking, strategic acumen and market insight: The skill to synthesize competitive trends, market data and customer/consumer insights into a plan of action. Comfortable with ambiguity and change.Difference maker - hands-on, action-oriented leader who can command the respect of his/her superiors, peers and team. Ability to influence team to buy-in fully to the approach and execute goals and objectives with enthusiasm.Leadership by example and motivation through creating common vision and commitment to desired outcomes.Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, service product promotion, communications, etc.).Passion for results and performance oriented: The ability to find creative solutions and generate results in a dynamic, high growth environment. Will have a strong sense of urgency and the ability to infuse that in others.Ability to determine, implement and adjust the mix between internal- and vendor-resources particularly in the areas of advertising, creative services and event management to drive optimal outcomes.
