Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing seasonal concept, color, trend, print, and textiles direction for the brand. This position is also responsible for directing, managing, selecting, and developing the Design team.
Develop initial merchandise line conceptIdentify direction on trend, color, fabric, trim, and concept for each season, including identifying samples that can be adapted to represent trends for the brandPresent complete concept to Merchandising, Marketing, and Sourcing through design owned milestone meetingsHire, direct, evaluate, and develop Design team membersCoordinate with Product Development Team to assure timely execution of seasonal development that achieves key strategic business goalsResponsible for managing time & action of development
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSEducation: BFA degree in design or equivalent work experienceExperience: 10+ year's related field
CRITICAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESStrong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Elevated taste level and fashion sense within the context of the brand.Ability to identify and incorporate trends into clothing lines.Ability to work independently and lead a team.Strong computer skills.Ability to understand financial metrics.

$235,700 - $368,000
