Trident seeks a Technical Writer and Office Manager to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products as well as manage the office supplies and coordinate facilities. You will join the operations team to work collaboratively with our engineers, technicians, and managers to make our products easier to build and test and our office to run smoothly.

If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSWork with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirementsProduce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audienceAnalyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunitiesCreate and maintain the information architectureMonitor office supplies and order new stationery, furniture, appliances, and electronics as requiredOrganize external maintenance companies and support services to keep the office clean and safe and ensure its appliances are in good working orderReport office progress to senior management and work with them to improve office operations and proceduresProvide office management support to the Chantilly location, as needed.QUALIFICATIONSRequired Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProven working experience in technical writing of software documentationAbility to deliver high-quality documentation paying attention to detailAbility to work with engineers to describe complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures for the techniciansExcellent written and communication skills in EnglishStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of productsStrong written and verbal communication skills to produce reports, assign tasks, accept instructions and handle vendor contracts, among other tasksOrganization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasksStrong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employeesAttention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctlyExperience in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP system preferredYears of Experience:Associates degree in Business and/or technical discipline or equivalent preferred and a minimum of 4 years of experience in defense systems and/or management in development or production projectsMust be able to work on-site in Chantilly, VA; Hybrid work available after job duties are adopted and candidate is integrated into the teamPERFORMANCE MEASURESExcellent written and communication skillsSelf-motivated and capable of performing tasks with moderate guidanceExcellent organizational and office managerial skillsDemonstrated ability to partner with team members to achieve resultsSkillful in organizing multiple efforts to accomplish goalsAbility to support travel or off-site work as neededTrident Values:Integrity:
