Compensation:

$120,000 - $160,000 Annual Salary. The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. About the Role:

The Senior Design Manager will develop and lead the project team of interior designers, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other professionals through the process of strategic project planning and design. Projects include new restaurant build outs, remodels, and facilities assignments. This is a hybrid position based out of our headquarters in Arcadia, CA.

Responsibilities:

Manage the architectural and engineering team by soliciting and reviewing proposals, reviewing payment applications, and monitoring schedule and deliverables.

Establish design meetings and manage cost issues, constructability issues, long-lead items, and coordinate with third parties such as landlords, municipalities, owner vendors, etc.

Understand and comment on project budget and schedule.

Work with design team, third party expeditors, landlords, and jurisdictions as needed during permitting.

Coordinate signage, graphics, and artwork with vendors for timely submittals, assisting with timely review, approval, and submittal.

Create, review, and align schematic test fits per Din Tai Fung expectations. Create, document, and communicate design elements that reinforce the branded environment.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning or Construction Management is preferred.

Requires previous experience working as a Project Architect or Project Manager in a restaurant/retail/hospitality environment.

Experience demonstrating prior involvement and leadership with master planning, budgeting, schematic design, design development, and construction documents phases, and construction/transition planning to build/project activation.

A motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and a high level of personal integrity and business ethics who thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Display exceptionally strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with construction-related and business professionals.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of project controls, project management, construction documentation and sequencing.

Exhibit working knowledge of alternate materials/methods; construction costs, value engineering techniques, and Building/Occupancy laws and lease requirements.

Demonstrate skills in managing successful projects; meet or exceed expectations and timelines.

Maintain professionalism in the face of deadlines; exhibit exceptional listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; and handle confidential information with discretion and trustworthiness.

Possess excellent time management, communication, organization, and personal effectiveness skills, as well as technical computer skills, including proficiency with web-based project management tools. Proficiency in computer-aided design and presentation is required.
