We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Manager to lead the development and deployment of scalable, automated Global Video Delivery Solutions (CDN capacity management, video delivery services, etc.). We operate at Amazon scale where you will lead your teams to design and deploy software that will benefit millions of customers globally. The ideal candidate is passionate about leading and building strong software engineering teams. You are equally obsessed with delivering the best possible customer experiences. You lead the team in defining software architecture and drive key performance and quality metrics. You communicate effectively with engineers, partners, leaders, and a broad set of stakeholders.

Think strategically by having a good 3-year plan and organizing the roadmap each year to achieve that vision.Execution:
Ensure that roadmap projects are delivered on time without any major defects.Operations:
Responsible for Global Video Delivery. Keep a daily eye on CDN/ISP metrics along with the health of key applications/services in your area.People Management:

Build great relationships and communicate regularly with stakeholders, as success depends on collaboration.
A day in the lifeWorking with the Product leader and your team leads to keep an eye on the implementation of strategic initiatives (CDN Capacity Management, Feature development, Re-engineering for scale, etc.).
Conduct 1:1s with your team (manager, engineers) to keep a pulse on group morale and sub-team challenges.
Participate in strategic meetings with Senior leadership (MBR, QBR, OP1, 3YP, Roadmap updates, etc.).
Update leadership on relevant program statuses.
Operations management - review production metrics and dashboards to monitor global video delivery for Prime Video.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
