Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Park Heights Renaissance, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation whose primary role is to support residents and stakeholders in effective implementation of the Park Heights Master Plan which was adopted in 2006. Park Heights is the largest urban renewal plan in Baltimore City, and it is comprised of 1,500 acres, has 12 distinct neighborhoods and more than 22,000 residents. The mission of Park Heights Renaissance (PHR) is to develop successful partnerships and resources that support the implementation of the Park Heights Master Plan using a holistic community development approach to enhance and maintain a thriving and sustainable community.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead the efforts to raise $2-3 million annually.Identify and implement new revenue streams, with a focus on increasing sustainable, unrestricted private revenue.Lead the growth of an intentional strategy to build individual giving with major and sustaining gifts as well as estate planning and bequests.Partner with the CEO, executive and senior leadership teams, and development staff to deepen existing funder relationships and cultivate new supporters.Evaluate and drive the use of new technology funding vehicles including social media and online giving, ensuring efficiency and impact effectiveness of the organization's website and online tools for engaging prospect leads and supporters.With executive leadership, plan and evaluate financial needs and fundraising plans for the organization's future.Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies to ensure high-impact digital and print communications.Refine PHR communications with a JEDI (Justice, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) lens.Develop, implement, and monitor systems and procedures necessary for the smooth operation of institutional marketing and communications.Create a comprehensive marketing calendar for the organization in coordination with department heads.Maintain the quality and integrity of marketing data and analytics and regularly report on metrics.Board and Senior Staff LeadershipWork closely with the CEO, executive Team, and board Governance and Development Committees to lead the creation and implementation of the organization’s advancement strategy and objectives.Serve as staff liaison to the Development and Governance Committees of the board.Attend board meetings and board committee meetings and in coordination with the CEO report on development and governance activities as needed.Collaborate with senior leadership to support media and public relations strategy; serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for the organization and articulate our mission to external constituents.Together with the CEO, educate and train board members and senior staff in donor cultivation and professional fundraising techniques.Work with the CEO to ensure board members are engaged and energized by their association with the organization.Accompany CEO and Board Chair as appropriate on solicitation calls. When appropriate, personally conduct major gift solicitations.Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCommunications and marketing experience, ideally with a nonprofit organization, including hands-on experience with managing website and social media content, e-newsletters, print media, and donor communications.Ability to craft compelling messages across different platforms and for a variety of target audiences.Passion and excellence in writing and editing copy for a broad array of promotional materials including, but not limited to, electronic newsletters, press releases, annual reports, flyers, ads, job posts, and marketing collateral.An understanding of and commitment to developing a culture and brand that is grounded in DEI, racial/gender equity, and social justice.Ability to cultivate, build and grow, and sustain strong relationships with corporate and community partners, philanthropic leaders, stakeholders, and individual donors.Strong understanding of financial management principles, including but not limited to statistics, trend analysis, gift administration, and reporting; experience managing complex financial data from various sources (government, foundations, scholarships, etc.) would be a plus.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.5+ years of progressively responsible nonprofit sector development experience and a track record of demonstrated knowledge of all channels of fundraising including capital fundraising.
