Career Education ProgramsSummary of Job Duties:

The Associate Director of Inclusive Career Design will collaborate with Offices of Career Connections staff in every academic college to connect with and engage underrepresented undergraduate and graduate University of Arkansas students who may not traditionally seek out the career services they need. This includes but is not limited to students with disabilities, students of color, veterans, first-generation, non-traditional, LGBTQ+ students, and other groups of students that demonstrate low engagement with the Offices of Career Connections. The Associate Director facilitates, manages, designs, and/or implements equity & inclusion career resources, training, programs, and services to meet the career needs of traditionally marginalized student populations. This position will manage programs intended to improve students' social capital and access to career and self-development opportunities such as Career Launch. This position will also collaborate with cultural and identity-focused student organizations and coach them to host their own professional development opportunities for their members. The Associate Director of Inclusive Career Design reports to the Director of Career Education and supervises a part-time career counselor. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:A master's degree in counseling, career counseling, workforce development, adult education, higher education, human resource management, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher educationA minimum of at least three years of full-time, professional work experience in one or more of the following areas: career advising, academic advising, higher education, corporate training, human resource management, or other related areasApplicable equivalencies may be considered on the qualifications listed above.Preferred Qualifications:At least one year of career advising experience administering and interpreting career assessmentsAt least one year of experience intentionally working with members of underrepresented populationsPrevious experience using a customer relationship management (CRM) system such as Handshake or CRM platformsPrevious experience with online learning management systems such as Blackboard or Canvas or comparable platformsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):Knowledgeable in student development, career theories and career development best practicesProficient skills in Microsoft 365Ability to develop and maintain relationships and regular communication with team and stakeholdersAbility to work with a diverse constituency at all levelsAbility to set and exceed goalsAbility to submit timely and accurate reportsAbility to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programsAbility to evaluate collected information and offer recommendationsAdditional Information:Salary Information:
