This role involves collaborating with various teams within the organization to streamline processes, implement best practices, and leverage technology to drive marketing success and new customer acquisition. The Director of Marketing Operations plays a crucial role in collaborating with senior leaders, department heads, and the outside agency to craft solutions and outputs that will increase sales and align with overall business goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:In collaboration with stakeholders at all levels, develop and implement marketing operations strategies that drive urgency and align with the company's short and long-term objectives. Collaborate with the marketing leadership team to define goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success metrics. Develop an advertising calendar that remains nimble and builds on past successes by ensuring advertising products are designed, merchandised, and prepared in a timely fashion. Implement best practices for campaign execution and new customer acquisition. In collaboration with the merchandising team, identify products that support sales and a strategic segmented marketing approach.Technology Integration:Identify, implement, and manage marketing technology solutions to support automation, analytics, and reporting. Ensure seamless integration between marketing platforms and other business systems.Analytics and Reporting:Establish and maintain a robust analytics framework for measuring marketing performance. Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on key marketing metrics and ROI.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with sales, finance, IT, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment of marketing activities with broader business goals. Foster strong communication and collaboration on the strategy and key sales events between marketing and the sales force.Budget Management:In collaboration with the CEO and President, develop the marketing budget. Coordinate with the CEO, President, and Director of Finance to develop and monitor an advertising budget. Monitor expenditures and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Seek approval for changes in the budgeted plan in advance.Team Leadership:Lead and develop a high-performing marketing operations team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.External Collaboration:Stay informed about relevant national and local trends to ensure Gardner White remains at the forefront of the market in innovation. Collaborate with our external agency to ensure a coordinated approach across all media campaigns and channels. Coordinate with our external agency, the Creative Director, and the CIO to ensure all sales objectives and creative are reflected in the media. Serve as the primary liaison for all external marketing third parties.RequirementsQualifications:8-10 years of experience managing marketing operations, including reporting, metrics, strategic insights and alignment, and special projects.Highly relational and collaborative.Proven experience in marketing operations or a related role.Proven experience in a big-ticket retail environment.Proven experience working with or at an agency.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.In-depth knowledge of marketing technologies and tools.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment with retail hours.Key Deliverables:Exceed projected sales while adhering to the advertising budget.Develop all assets for campaigns at least three months in advance.Successfully ideate and implement new campaign concepts and approaches.
