Aquent has an EXCITING opportunity for a Design Systems Product Designer!

This role is 100% remote.

It will be expected that you can work Eastern Time Zone hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) on a daily basis. This translates to:8:00 AM CT - 4:00 PM CT7:00 AM MT - 3:00 PM MT6:00 AM PT - 2:00 PM PTIn addition, to be considered for this role, you

This team provides comprehensive documentation, UI toolkits, and code that set the standard for styles, components, and accessibility best practices, which in turn, allow our client's teams to focus on creating a cohesive omnichannel user experience.

Our client is seeking to add a talented and thoughtful Sr. Product Designer to their cross-functional design system team who combines design vision, user insights, technical knowledge, and creativity to deliver elegant and usable components. This role is critical to their success and requires someone who self-identifies as both a designer and builder, and who will help drive the evolution of their design system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply the full suite of design methodologies - accessibility, user research, UX, interaction, visual - to validate design direction and generate final comps, assets, and UI toolkits (e.g. Figma libraries).Understand how to evoke our client's brand within both the native app and the website.Work closely with Accessibility partners to ensure accessibility requirements are defined, met, and evolved.Work hand-in-hand with Design System engineers throughout the design and development processes.Collaborate with Design System Engineers to groom features, create user stories, and prepare components for release.Propose new approaches, workflows, and tools to the design system team to improve efficiency.Conduct design reviews and confidently communicate decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Onboard designers and developers on the usage of the Design System through 1-on-1 training and group presentations.Coach internal contributors on how best to identify and propose web styles and components.EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of demonstrable experience designing for web sites and/or applications7+ years of experience in UX, interaction, product and/or visual design.Ability to operate across native and responsive web platforms (iOS, Android, Web), with an understanding of the conventions and standards for each.Advanced skills in typography, iconography, color theory, and grid systems, including 3+ years of experience in Figma and Figma libraries.Work portfolio that demonstrates a synthesis of multiple inputs (user, business, technical) and creative problem solvingSolid grasp of design system approaches (purpose, ingredients, documentation).Knowledge and appreciation for front-end coding practices, from how designs are dissected to how coding decisions are made.Real-world experience with accessibility and inclusive design.Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.Experience producing designs for large-scale, enterprise products in an agile environment.Experience working on a large-scale design system that integrates design assets with coded components.Experience working in a regulated industry, healthcare, and/or B2C digital experiences.The target hiring compensation range for this role is $66.88 to $71.88 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
