Summary:

As a key member of Cosm's marketing team, the Communications Manager will work closely with the Sr. Director of Communications and Marketing & Communications Manager to drive external communications efforts that help shape and maintain Cosm as the leader in immersive sports and entertainment. The successful candidate will be a go-getter who thrives working independently as well as with a team, with equal parts creativity and critical thinking and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and cultivate the company vision.

Responsibilities:

Support Cosm's corporate communications strategy by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, leading external initiatives across the Cosm ecosystem, identifying opportunities for messaging and storytelling, and engaging third-party partnersImplement PR strategies surrounding company news, including financial and corporate announcements as well as partnership announcements with sports leagues, broadcasters, artists, entertainment houses, and moreEstablish and maintain strong relationships with local reporters and national and global media to support the company's long-term communications goals. Craft and implement pitches to enhance corporate reputation across all aspects of the business.Provide general communications support including, but not limited to, maintaining and updating press lists and databases, creating media briefings and advisories, maintaining editorial and awards calendars, developing thought leadership materials, managing the brand press kit, delegating inbound requests, compiling media coverage, and other tasks as assignedSource, develop, and execute press materials in support of company events and announcements, including drafting press releases, crafting website copy, creating internal communications materials, and publishing news on our website and third-party platformsManage company awards, recognitions, and engagements by sourcing information, drafting application answers, and compiling assets for submissionAssist at company events, including evenings and weekends. Travel will be required.Experience:

4-6 years of relevant experience in marketing or communications in the sports, entertainment, technology, arts, and lifestyle industriesBachelor's degree preferred, but not requiredProactive and flexible with excellent storytelling and critical thinking abilitiesStrong media relations skills with experience and enthusiasm to engage with a wide range of reporters, journalists, and talentAbility to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various teamsExtremely organized with strong attention to detailThe annualized base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 to $105,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
