Overview
New York Medical College (NYMC) is seeking a per diem graphic designer to join the Office of Public Relations (PR). Reporting directly to the Vice President of Communications and Strategic Initiatives, this position is will design invitations, graphics, templates, and branded materials, and ensure all communications effectively display the NYMC brand.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:Design invitations, graphics, merchandise, and branding materials for NYMC.Produce brochures and materials including fact sheets, at a glance brochures, annual public relations highlights deck, and more.Oversee the implementation and management of NYMC's visual brand, updating style guidelines as necessary.Create design templates for invitations, newsletters, presentations, and more in Canva and PowerPoint.Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, branding, and project preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Canva.Strong understanding of branding principles and visual communication.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Strong organizational, managerial and problem-solving skills.The position requires superior grammar and proofreading skills and the ability to multi-task as well as work independently.
