Job Description:
We're looking for a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer who is passionate about creating product experiences that customers genuinely love. As a critical partner in the PDK team, you'll simplify complex systems and design intuitive workflows for configuring and using electronic Access Control solutions delivered through our cutting-edge cloud and mobile platforms.
You'll transform product requirements-both written and verbal-into delightful, user-centric interactions. Through user testing and feedback, you'll validate designs and ensure they align with customer needs. You'll also communicate the product vision using interactive mock-ups, collaborating closely with other designers, development leads, and product managers to bring these designs to life.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has a proven track record of designing exceptional software experiences for both professional integrators and end consumers.
Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with product managers, engineering leads, data scientists, and customers to understand and optimize the user experience for current and future software applications. Produce user scenarios, storyboards, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications. Deliver responsive designs that scale across devices, from phones to desktop screens. Iterate and improve designs through research, user testing (in-person or online), analytics, A/B testing, and feedback loops, ensuring designs meet user needs and business goals. Collaborate within the design team by providing constructive feedback, coordinating UX/UI best practices, and maintaining design components for reuse and scalability. Work closely with Agile development teams across different time zones, sharing complete visual designs and individual assets. Ensure designs comply with the latest accessibility standards and best practices, providing inclusive experiences for all users. Serve as the champion for customer experience to product leadership teams. Needed Skills And Experience:
Deep understanding of UI navigation, user workflow, task modeling, information architecture design, and the unique challenges of touch vs. mouse interactions. Proficiency in design systems and rapid prototyping tools, such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, XD, InVision, or similar, with adaptability to emerging UX/UI platforms and AI-assisted design tools. Ability to design for product needs across web and mobile, leveraging best practices in modern web, native iOS, and Android interface design principles. Strong artistic skills in the use of space, themes, color, and iconography. Ability to collaborate with the team and improve designs through feedback, while confidently defending the best customer experience. Experience thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative environment. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies or similar product delivery processes. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Design, Computer Science, Industrial Design, or equivalent. 5+ years in a User Experience related field as a designer, human-factors practitioner, and usability evaluation specialist. Deep understanding of Human Behavioral Sciences demonstrable by current experience, training, or coursework. Portfolio of designs showing responsive interfaces (phone to desktop) and touch-driven mobile applications. Benefits
