WDIO-TV Technical Director - Duluth, Minnesota Technical direct newscasts using a VizRT Vectar (NewTek TriCaster) via a NewsMaker NewsCaster production automation system. Responsibilities include:Tech directing, graphics, cameras, and audio automation.Program production automation system to facilitate changes in newscast formatting.Design graphics for newscasts adhering to design standards set by the Brand Manager.Establish pace of newscasts and segment sequences with the producer according to time requirements.Ensure programs run smoothly during live broadcasts.Handle last-minute changes professionally during live broadcasts.Communicate calmly and clearly with all involved as needed.Maintain adequate studio lighting levels and collaborate with the Brand Manager for lighting new sets.Keep the studio functional and clean.Assist the News Department as needed, including video editing, shooting, or updating digital content.Report to work on time and work established schedule/hours, including occasional weekend shifts.
