New York Life is a relationship-based company and appreciates how both virtual and in-person interactions support our culture.This position is hybrid - Tuesday - Thursday in the New York Office and Monday and Friday work from home.Role responsibilities include:Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and business unit leaders from different organizational areas to identify innovation opportunities and develop propositions that create value for people and other business areasCommunicating research discoveries through compelling narratives and visualizationsCreating and delivering immersive working sessions that engage and enable leaders to act and empower their teamsFacilitating conversations with client teams to identify and develop new opportunities for their organizationsAssist with developing and executing on strategic direction for the teamAssist with developing and nurturing an opportunity pipelineEstablishing operational and financial innovation metrics to measure and track the health and progress of the innovation pipeline and appropriate resource allocationInitiating and lead strategic innovation workshops and projectsFacilitating application of innovation methodologies and tools on key projectsRepresenting the human centered design discipline and its value to non-designers internallyDefining and developing prototypes of new offerings and experiences to testManaging execution and logistics for various Innovation Services programs and events including:

Partnering throughout New York Life to help promote company-sponsored innovation and community-building eventsQualifications:7-10 years of experience in roles with increasing responsibilities. Previous management consulting experience a plus.Mastery of the human centered design approach; in particular for solving strategic challengesMust have "front of the room" experience leading workshops and/or training sessionsHighly-motivated self-starter with strong attention to detailEnglish fluency (written and spoken)Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across organizations and influence decision-makingExceptional communication skills (presentation, written, discussion), especially in developing compelling presentationsExperience leading or facilitating workshops, brainstorm sessions, innovation sessions, etc.Ideal candidate will be able to think outside the box and find innovative and creative solutionsProficiency in human centered design across different mediums, strong story-telling skills, and the ability to communicate compelling user experiencesA passion for learning about the world, human behavior, and the motivations that lie beneath the surfaceThe ability to synthesize research into concrete recommendations and communicate them to business audiencesA passion for conceiving, developing and prototyping solutions that delight consumers and create value for clientsThe ability to work in dynamic, often ambiguous conditions, both individually and in a teamA highly collaborative nature and a desire to work with those from other disciplinesExcellent design qualifications plus at least 4 years of consulting experience in Innovation, Design Strategy, Service Design or other relevant industry#LI-VL1
