Director, US Achondroplasia HCP Marketing Lead

is responsible for overarching HCP vision, strategy and tactics for the cross-functional brand team for Voxzogo in achondroplasia and lifecycle opportunities in the US.Accountabilities This position serves as the

US HCP Brand Lead

for Achondroplasia and will be accountable for:Defining the regional HCP strategy and overseeing the execution of related initiatives in the US for achondroplasia and additional lifecycle indications.Ensuring the achondroplasia HCP strategic and tactical plan is established and maintained.Lead and execute the US marketing strategy for healthcare professionals to drive growth across the region.Collaborating with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure input, insight and feedback is represented in strategies and operational plans.Acting as the subject matter expert on Achondroplasia HCP related strategy in the region.Responsibilities

Develop US commercial HCP strategies and tactics to support continued Voxzogo growth, competitive readiness, and lifecycle development opportunities.Collaboratively engage with US community stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and patients to ensure integration of their perspectives into all HCP plans.Develop, maintain, and optimize HCP target lists in collaboration with sales.Frequent cross-functional collaboration with multiple internal groups (e.g., compliance, sales, field based clinical support, market access, medical, commercial learning and development, marketing operations, etc.), to set vision and execution plan for HCP branded promotions as well as HCP disease state education.Lead and maintain multi-specialty Medical Expert identification & engagement, HCP speaker development, and conference strategy & management.Lead HCP insight gathering initiatives including leading advisory boards and market research projects.Partner with Digital Community team for optimal planning and execution.Marketing reviewer and approver on the BioMarin Promotional Review Board (PRB) for all HCP materials, both branded and unbranded (DSE).Oversight of advertising agencies and internal graphic designers on the development, execution, and maintenance of HCP branded and unbranded materials.Oversee plans for appropriate rollout and training of HCP resources and materials during POA meetings for live and/or webex training, in collaboration with Commercial Learning and Development team.Identify and plan insight collection initiatives to inform brand strategy (e.g., Advisory Boards and/or Market Research with HCPs and/or patients).Partner closely with Achondroplasia Patient Lead and Achondroplasia Digital Lead for coherent execution of all promotional efforts.Requirements & Experience

Minimum 10+ years of related experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, preferably within Rare Disease.Orphan drug experience required.Experience with strategic and executional marketing required.Industry sales experience beneficial, but not required.Experience working in complex and diffused markets preferred.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, including cross-functional influence without authority, is critical.Strong facilitation and leadership skills required.Ability to interact with and positively influence all levels of business across multiple departments.Strong analytical skills, solid general business skills and a good understanding of the US pharmaceutical market.Excellent project management, attention to detail and executional experience a must-have.Education Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.Note: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive, or a limitation of the duties of the position. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
