With expertise across various life sciences categories, CBRE is a leader in managing highly-regulated spaces within the industry.About the role!As a Full Spectrum Academy Technical Writer, you will lead the creation of technical & quality documentation for the Full Spectrum Lab Services business. You will work closely with SMEs from all parts of the business to create the content that will establish the standard for how our engineers carry out critical technical activities. This individual would also work alongside our Quality department to create and maintain quality documentation that supports our ISO accreditation.This job is part of the Full Spectrum Academy team. They are a comprehensive learning and development platform designed to enhance career growth within Full Spectrum Lab Services, offering a broad range of technical training courses and access to a global network of subject matter experts.What you’ll doAuthor SOP & Work Instruction content by collaborating with the relevant Subject Matter Experts.Set the formatting standards for all SOP & Work Instructions which are deployed across Full Spectrum Lab Services.Oversee document lifecycle (request, review, revise, approve, distribute, revise, retire, dispose of).Implement a Content Auditing process which pulls in Subject Matter Experts to ensure the information contained within is current and relevant.Conduct research and interview technical and business personnel, read existing user manuals to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.Validate the accuracy of existing documentation.Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.Impact the quality of own work.Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.What you’ll needTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. The minimum salary for the Technical Writer position is $80,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Technical Writer position is $98,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
