Quad is currently hiring a Part-Time Interior CAD Designer. The Interior CAD Designer plays a crucial role in transforming design concepts into detailed digital plans using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Responsible for aesthetic environments in residential (10%), office, production areas, and medical clinics (90%). Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Responsibilities
Create Detailed Designs: Develop 2D models for commercial, medical and manufacturing interior spaces, ensuring they meet project specifications, ADA and life safety guidelines.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the practicality and accuracy of designs.
Revise and Update Designs: Modify designs based on feedback from clients and project stakeholders.
Technical Guidance: Provide technical assistance and guidance in the use of CAD software.
Maintain Documentation: Organize and maintain a database of all CAD drawings for future reference.
Client Presentations: Prepare and present design proposals to clients or project managers.
Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Software: Strong skills in using AutoCAD. Microsoft Office suite: Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel helpful.
Technical Design Skills: Ability to create precise and practical designs.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure designs are accurate and meet industry standards.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentations.
Experience: Previous experience in interior design or a related field is often required.
