This role is pivotal in understanding our domain, users, and their needs, transforming this understanding into unparalleled UX designs. The Senior Designer will be a self-guided creative thinker, adept at crafting wireframes, mockups, and comprehensive design comps.You will be a member of the Technology team, reporting to one of our software engineering managers or the VP of Engineering, depending on seniority.Responsibilities:

Deep Domain Understanding:

Our domain is challenging, especially for outsiders. The ideal candidate will be willing to roll up their sleeves and dive deep into the domain literature and resources we have ready for you. At many thousands of pages of material, you should enjoy reading, writing, and critical thinking as well as design.User-Centric Design:

Conduct user research to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points, translating these insights into user-friendly designs. You must understand how to elicit needs while not being hoodwinked by users conflating solutions.Wireframing and Prototyping:

Create detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to propose and iterate on design solutions. You should start with fast, low fidelity wireframes before moving to mockups.Collaboration:

Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design vision is effectively translated into product implementation.Guidance and Leadership:

Lead design projects and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.Qualifications and Skills:

Proven Experience:

Extensive experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing your expertise in creating user-centric solutions.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.Analytical Mindset:

Strong ability to analyze user feedback and activity, and incorporate this into design improvements.Communication:

Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts and rationales.Maturity:

Must be willing and able to take constructive criticism from multiple parties, including passionate users and leaders, and integrate findings into your designs.Education:
