Help create the future of custom clothing ecommerce with Proper Cloth. We’re looking for an experienced manager, with a high attention to detail, and an interest in process optimization to join our photography team. In this role you will be overseeing the ecommerce photography process at Proper Cloth, managing a small team of photographers and product stylists and working in person from our beautiful studio in Soho, New York. At Proper Cloth, great Ecommerce photography is all about consistency, quality, and efficiency. You will oversee the process from start to finish, as you shepherd products from arrival, to still-life photography, to on-figure photography, to editing, and finally to image uploads. The whole way you will be helping ensure your team is performing, products look great and the process is running smoothly.

Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily operations and the total process of ecommerce photography
Product arriving, product preparation, still-life photography, on-figure photography, file naming, image editing and digital asset management
Coordinate schedules of team and priorities of shoots
Ensure all photography is consistently executed to Proper Cloth standards
Manage a small team of photographers and product stylists and interns
Ensures all team members are trained in studio workflow procedures
Ensures all studio invoices, expense receipts, relevant documentation are processed and given to correct departments such as HR and Accounts Payable
Fully onsite role 5 days per week
Requirements
Excellent organization skills
Proficiency in Capture One, Excel, Google Calendar, ClickUp, etc
Excellent process management and optimization skills
High attention to detail
Keen eye for photography - able to detect small differences between photographs such as shadow darkness, white balance, pinned silhouettes, wrinkles, etc
Experience managing a team, inspiring, coaching, checking in, holding accountable, etc.
Expert knowledge of e-commerce photography workflow processes including merchandise preparation, equipment set-up, lighting, set builds, on-set best practices, along with knowledge of post-production
