Like the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.About this position:We are currently looking for a bilingual English-Spanish dynamic communications professional who can turn complex ideas into engaging content and is able to work in a fast-paced environment and has a demonstrated ability to produce and edit content for multiple formats under tight deadlines.You will work with the digital, corporate, and executive communications teams and leaders and experts across the IDB as part of the Digital Team within the Communications Division in the Knowledge, Innovation and Communication Sector.The Communications Division team is responsible for the design and implementation of IDB’s strategic communications plans, offering advice, expertise, and tools for dissemination and communication planning and execution, to position IDB’s brand, work, and development opportunities in the Latin American and Caribbean Region with internal and external partners. In addition, it provides guidelines and advisory support on the standards of use of the corporate brand, internal communication activities, the external feedback system, and manages all communication channels including digital platforms, editorial content, and relations with the media, as well as the IDB community relations program.What you will do:Produce high-quality communication products, narratives, and engaging content in line with institutional priorities. Transform complex concepts into clear, meaningful, and impactful communication materials.Write, edit, and proofread press releases, articles/Op-Eds, talking points, speeches, fact sheets, presentations, and other communications materials.Write, edit, and proofread digital content for social media, paid campaigns, blogs, websites, and videos adapting it to specific platforms and audiences.Ensure the content is of the highest quality, grammatically correct, properly punctuated, and correctly formatted in English and Spanish.Work with different departments, and within those different teams and specialists, to research, write, and edit content, coordinating interactions properly and promptly.Use storytelling and creative messaging techniques to generate content about the impact of the Bank’s work.Conduct interviews, research, report, and write articles on IDB Group personnel, projects, and initiatives in an engaging, journalistic format for IDB internal communications channels.Write and edit other internal communication materials as needed, in collaboration with specialists from throughout the IDB, adapting content to the intended audience to ensure engagement.Manage assignments properly, ensure the highest level of confidentiality, understand, and manage the risk associated with handling sensitive information and ensure compliance with the schedule defined for each task.Stay knowledgeable on IDB group products, target audiences, key business goals, and competitive landscape.Ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice across all channels while adapting content to suit the unique characteristics and preferences of each platform.Perform other duties related to the core functions of the role.What you will need:Education:

You hold a master’s degree (or equivalent five years’ “Licenciatura”) in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Business Administration, Public Policy, or related field. In lieu of a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree with 15 years relevant experience would be considered.Experience:

At least 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in writing and editing roles. 2–5 years of experience in SEO writing, copywriting, and project management is a plus.Languages:

Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.Quickly understand both languages and ability to adapt content across languages with accuracy and confidence.Demonstrate resourcefulness and creativity in the planning and execution of the assigned tasks.Proven record of creating compelling content for various clients.Innovative approach to problem-solving, consistently delivering compelling and unique content that meets and exceeds expectations.Ability to interpret, understand and create feedback loops to confirm content needs and product delivery.Advanced knowledge and application of content management systems, HTML publishing, multimedia editing software, and social media content platforms.Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and attention to detail skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong time management and organizational skills.Proficiency across major social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and knowledge of best practices.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Ability to review and correct grammar, punctuation, inconsistencies in style, and spelling errors.High degree of flexibility and adaptability.Requirements:Citizenship:
