Perform critical business support functions including geospatial science and analysis, spatial data acquisition, geospatial modeling, database development, data management and maintaining data integrity, developing geospatial processes and solutions, supporting other businesses and business systems utilizing spatial data, and create high-end cartographic products, data extractions, and analytical reporting. This role will support different groups with primary focus on PacifiCorp's renewables business, property-real estate, and wildfire mitigation and response efforts.Responsibilities

• Perform geospatial science and analysis, spatial data acquisition, geospatial modeling, database development, data management, maintain data integrity, develop geospatial processes and solutions, support other businesses and business systems utilizing spatial data.• Design, development and implementation of moderately complex GIS processes including sourcing data, data extraction, geospatial analysis, manipulation, transformation, integration, mapping, and GIS application solutions.• Oversee the preparation of required exhibits for submission to stakeholders and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Assists with planning, utility data modeling, site selection studies, site prospecting, facility management, as well as other business departmental consulting services and supporting asset management.• Collaborate with internal company clients solve business problems using GIS technology and knowledge.• Conduct analyses thorough research and gathering of data.• Interpret data and present results of the analyses to clients in the form of reports or map products.• Provide guidance and direction relative to work assignments to all GIS staff.• Produce high-end cartographic products for various initiatives, reporting, and public meetings.• Assist in developing standards and automated processes through project work.• Function as the subject matter expert and provide technical oversight and guidance to less experienced GIS agents.• Direct complex research requests and conclusion and provide recommendations to stakeholders.• Develop and maintain operational and procedural documentation.• May work as a technical or supervisory lead.• Work independently and with project teams to prepare technical reports, presentations, implementation plans; define GIS application strategies; and to develop detailed project deliverables.• Provide executive decision support.Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information System (GIS), Natural Resources, Geography, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.• A minimum of five years of utility GIS related experience.• A minimum of five years of experience using ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro• Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical practices and techniques to complex GIS assignments.• Experience working with land records, survey data, and legal descriptions.• Experience using GIS in supporting hydro facility land management, facility relicensing, decommissioning, and regulatory reporting.• Experience using GIS as it relates to site prospecting and evaluating solar and wind generation potential.• Experience using GIS to support wildfire mitigation and response efforts.• Experience using GIS to assess impacts due to local, state, and federal permitting and regulatory changes.• Excellent people skills including well-developed skills in negotiation, understanding, and influencing others in the achievement of the goal.• Ability to conceptualize impact and understand outcome/results of business decisions.• Assessment skills including problem diagnosis and identification of proper methods and techniques to resolve and prevent future problems.• Experience producing high-end cartographic products for various initiatives, studies, reporting, and public meetings.• Communication and people skills including the ability to consult and resolve internal and external customer issues which may be critical, sensitive, or urgent in nature.• Strong written and oral communication and can explain complex geospatial concepts or results to those less familiar.• Knowledge of current technologies, tools, systems, and vendors.Preferences
