Overview : 360 Rail Services is seeking an experienced Designer 2 to join our team. The Designer 2 role involves producing detailed design drawings and plans for railroad infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CAD principles, experience with civil or structural design, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers to deliver accurate and high-quality project designs.
Responsibilities :
Develop detailed design drawings, plans, and layouts for railroad infrastructure projects using CAD software.
Collaborate with project engineers and managers to ensure design accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
Review and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and sketches to create construction-ready designs.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications in all design work.
Maintain drawing records and update designs as required throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform quality checks on designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist in project coordination, ensuring that design deliverables meet timelines and project goals.
Requirements :
Advanced proficiency in CAD software (Civil 3D, Bentley Systems).
3+ years of design experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably within the transportation or rail sector.
Strong understanding of design principles and construction documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project teams.
Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make design decisions independently.
